The admin portion in the above is esp. egregious isn't it - I read about it and it beggars belief, so this is great!

I'm still waiting on the spending bills though as a million here or a billion there, while very welcome, don't make a significant dent in a bloated $6.7T Fed budget.

BTW, I see the House GOP is looking to increase the debt limit by $4T 🤔.

Nah, its to cover borrowing for the next 2 years apparently, some of which is baked in admittedly, but the majority isn't (yet). I'm looking forward to the great reset in spending in the next couple of weeks. I'd have thought that they would agree on the spending piece first ... oh, they did! Spending reduction plus tax decreases (permanent) plus $4T in borrowing to cover 2 years only, hmmm! Not sure math is mathing relative to reducing the deficit!

I can appreciate what Trump is trying to do, but ultimately its a structural accounting and accountability problem. If he breaks it he needs to fix it. If he just lays waste to everything it may actually open the door to more fraud. Now in the DOGE hearing the other day I did hear some specific suggestions regarding the IT systems.

Talk of $1,500 toilet seats and hundred dollar screws reminds me of our healthcare’s $15 an aspirin. We waste but to blindly cut is lazy, inefficient, destructive and detrimental to national security in some cases.
