San Diego Rush

Seems like the only club in east county that has shown that they are doing the right thing is Sporting San Diego. Good leadership, stability and continued growth.

Club seems well run. Don’t seem to have a lot of successful teams, but that could just be a result of the better players leaving for the shinny lights of letter leagues.
Their 11 mlsAD team looks really solid.
Some good girls teams.

Not sure where they practice, but given they are based at helix quite a haul for games out to los coches

So part of Rebels is now Rush? Is all of Rebels east county going that way or is this another split?
Press release looks like all former EC surf is going rush.

I’m sure the esteemed board was told they’d get some ecnl/ecrl love and movement and it didn’t happen.

They’d do well to ditch Joe and make Jason director if he wanted it

If I had to guess it would be SoCal League, so maybe NPL at best? More likely Flight 2 SoCal for the older age groups - they have a decent local league going in there for Central SD, just hope the parents aren't paying too much money!

I have heard that Sporting SD is trying to get GA or GA Aspire for the girls. That seems like a jump, and I heard City EC was trying as well. Anyone know if any of that is true? Rush had a town hall meeting last week but we were not able to attend.

They had some solid girls teams last year, I could see them getting accepted into aspire.

Not sure if city proper had aspire so maybe the good Ec Albion teams would be an option for city EC aspire

To piggyback on Rush San Diego (which I had never heard of until today) - FC Golden State out of the western Rancho Peñasquitos area has announced it is joining this new SD Rush club. So now you have Rebels East County and FCGS which is a very large geographical area. Rush is listing fields throughout El Cajon, Rancho San Diego, Tierrasanta, La Mesa, Grantville and the SDSU college area. Not sure if they are going to continue to try and have fields in the Poway Unified School District areas where FCGS were at before.

From what I can find online, Rush SD is not a part of US Club Soccer. Rather, it is linked to USYS which has the E64 system and not the ECNL or NPL systems. It does not appear they are part of SoCal as of yet, either. If this remains, I wonder how a typical fall league season would look if you are coming from a SoCal club. Who else is part of this USYS system in San Diego County? How far do you have to go for a typical game?
