I hear presidio is back up and running. I remember as a kid playing presidio cup. It was a blast. I'd love to keep my kid in san diego for a while. anybody hear anything?
 
Pretty sure they had a fall league last year , seemed to have very little participants , as most had moved to So Cal

what clubs are actually still participating in Presidio?
 
Judging by the new website and logo (well, not sure how new, this is the first time I've looked in months), it looks like they're trying.
 
Ok, looking at their website it looks like with the high gas prices they are touting the ability for San Diego teams to play local, but so cal league already offers that

Presidio went through a couple of crises when my kids were playing in the league so I was paying attention. In 2004-5 the league Secretary quit in a dispute with the BOD and deleted the league's website pages (it was text-only at the time) including weekly standings and game schedules. Then a few years later the Treasurer was killed in a car accident returning from skiing with his sons in Utah. The final nail was apparently the dispute among Cal South, Presidio, and Bob Turner, who had been elected President of both organizations. Turner eventually quit both posts and helped form So Cal League.
 
the past history is good to know i guess -
our club was told if we register one team the other would be free.
i hope so.
