Slammers appear to be coming into their own. Great results from them. I would have expected them to win that game today. They play very direct as they should with the talent up top. Shaping up to be a 6 team race to the top of the DA circuit.
Why are they playing direct?

Yes, I was in Norco and didn't get to see it. my DD said Albion came from behind and got 2 late. She said one was a "solid" individual effort and the other, we failed to clear a corner and they made us pay. Good for them for playing hard the full 80min. And earning the point.
Maybe @Striker17 was there and could confirm.

Is this a facetious statement? Your statement is 100% correct. The coaches recognize who the top players are regardless of team. My rule of thumb was that your player doesn't have to be on the top club team as long as she is playing against them. As long as she is playing against the top talent a player's individual brilliance will be recognized. A baller is a baller and trust me the coaches at the best schools know a baller when they see one. We all do whether we admit it or no. Ballers make things happen. Colleges like to recruit ballers. They don't recruit teams.

The core of that team is from CDACerritos. There is a lot of talent on that team but Coach Macias had them playing very direct but they got results. The 2 girls who scored braces in the Galaxy game are definately handfuls for any defense!
At one time both girls that were credited for the goals played at South Bay Force/LAGSB. They left to make a move for ECNL clubs.

Southbay Force got raided by a bunch of ECNL teams several years back. Lots of talent in the Southbay. I think that they over-corrected though with GDA. 2 clubs in the Southbay seem like one club too many and Beach has at least 3 really good coaches in Mauricio, Jeff and Rob D.
Correction I was wrong on those players. The two I was referring to are on the U16/17 team. Not the U14'3.
