NWSL in SoCal

I went to the Angel City/Wave FC game at Titan Stadium on Saturday. The stadium was great, the field looked the best I have ever seen it and the game was awesome! Very good soccer on display. I took a friend who had never seen women's soccer. His quote in the first half, "A cross to a header to a great bicycle kick shot on goal with a quality save from the keeper, this is mind blowing!"

Two minor tips to Angel City, open the gates more than an hour before the game and invite the team whose locker room and field you are using to a meet and greet.

Agree with your advice however it is only the Challenge Cup being played at CSUF. Once the season starts ACFC will play at the Banc of California.

That is correct, I am fairly familiar with Titan Stadium (the best college soccer stadium in SoCal). Still time for Angel City FC to act in my suggestions.

Anyone in SoCal that thinks they are a soccer fan should go to a Wave or Angel City game.

The awesome part about it being at CSUF is that the founders were right out there too. We were in the cheap seats right below the founders tent and could hear Julie Uhrman right behind us cheering each player on (great way to learn their nicknames). Hopefully they sort out the parking for the next games too.

I still can't believe SoCal didn't have an NWSL team until now.

Great game. We were in line at 4:10 thinking we would be in at 4:30. Waited until 5. It wasn't until about 6:25 that people stopped coming in, so a number of people missed the beginning. Still a lot of seats available Sat. March 26 for 1 pm game. Cheap as well. Love watching the keeper warmups. Yep, keeper dad. Kailen Sheridan was great for San Diego. My wife decided we are going to be San Diego Wave fans. Great fun and they allow you to bring in food and drinks because their concessions are limited.
