I hear you. It still depends upon the player. I have seen some low impact ECNL players and some absolute monsters. Most are somewhere in between.

I observed the games FiLipovic v Larsen; Holly v Surf; cucuck v Navy; strikers v beach; the ECNL players that I saw play were impactful in different ways; for example the left back for FiLipovic team had girls actually mark her (in all the 1000 plus youth games I've assessed/ I've never seen a back get marked so closely ); Larsen switched players and shifted formations slanted to her side; FiLipovic team could have won by a few goals easily(bad soccer luck); I didn't see patches with strikers or holly team. I was impressed with the passion holly team showed and work rate of their forwards; cucuck team had patches and it showed strongly in the middle; beach has size, cohesiveness and our extremely organized (coach has done an excellent job); strikers have a nice passing game, compete well, and our well coached as well (especially considering the circumstances). I can provide insight on other teams as well but I'm already on a tangent. West Coast had the only patches that I saw; correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

I have no stake in any club game. My player is in college and my son is a golfer. I will te you that my player's team was a final 4 at U13 and that was her last year of national cup and local competition outside of ECNL and national cup

I can confirm that Strikers OC did not use any ECNL players during the NC tourney. In fact, I don't think we used one ECNL player the entire season.
