Life after Soccer

Just a reminder, there is life besides Soccer, during and after.
Just a reminder, lil DD or BB has a whole life ahead of them in a few years.
To all of the graduated parents , how bad were you and is it refreshing that its over.
I love watching my kids play, but some of the baggage weighted a bit heavy at times.
Other parents , other teams parents, the money, the commitment, etc...
I got over thirty years of playing time, so Ive been there but I came to a realization that this is all temporary recently and started to focus on other things like life goals, pathways for different careers for the kids, life lessons.
Soccer is Life BUT Life is Life too.

After soccer? I played in a men's over-40 indoor league until I was 57 (the oldest player left in the league, I think). I was going to tell my teammates that the next game (the last of that season) would be my last, but I scored 4 goals that night (and they said 5) so I hung around for another season. My son started coaching youth and high school teams about then, so I went to as many of those games as I could.

And now I hang around here dispensing vintage wisdom.

First round for me was rough when my boys quit soccer as they got into high school. With my 13 year old dd, I am trying to enjoy as much as I can knowing that it can be over any year. Good news is that I found golf as my new passion. Now I cannot wait til the soccer game is over so I can find time for my new hobbies: Golf, Mountain biking, and watching tons of soccer on TV. LOL

Become a referee! We definitely need more of them or coach? Just some ideas. I've enjoyed the money and folks I've met through refereeing too.

kinda curious about both your kids and your self.
For me with the extra time I plan on crafting project around the house .
I was wanting to hear stories about the kids that were gun ho but now have different careers
