The bickering should stop.

The real question is why Warriors decided to come down to Mayor's when they were one of the strongest CSL teams throughout the league and tournament season. They have been on the forum wanting to be part of the conversation as to one of the strongest teams in SoCal. I can understand a drop to the Governor's Cup like Galaxy SB, Slammers Whittier, and Murrieta Surf did, but to Mayor's?

Whoever signed us up chose the Mayors option on the application. Once brackets were released and it was caught, we tried to move up to Presidents. We were told we would have to forfeit our spot in Mayors first with no guarantee of Presidents unless someone drops. Same for Governors. Didn’t want to take the risk of having no state cup so here we are.

We didn’t bring Warriors name into the conversation and honestly I’m surprised we’re still mentioned but I do think it’s cool. We definitely want to play teams that challenge our girls. Thankfully there are lots of strong teams remaining in Mayors including a few CSL bracket champions, a team we lost to in the CSL season and a 2012 team that beat us in one of the most exciting games our girls have played in.

Pretty disappointed that Murrieta Surf dropped to Mayors as they were a real threat at flight 1.
 
Anyways... what’s the next big tournament after state cup? Already itching for another tournament lol
 
Its been mentioned before it happened to other teams and they made 1 simple call and fixed it let's not act like it was a big accident and no one knew what they were doing .anyways good luck to all of you I'm done with the back and fourth
 
Let’s get passed the teams that decided to play Mayors— I don’t hear anything about the teams dominating 9-0 or 8-0 in Mayors. There is a team that beat Forsyth playing in Mayors, but pure silence on that topic. Why the hate towards one specific team? If we lose in Mayors we are a joke if we win in Mayors we didn’t deserve it. Let it be!
I think Ole Red and Eagles should be the hot topic for pulling out some awesome wins in presidents. Congrats to those teams and I really hope one of them takes the crown!

If you're referring to Fullerton Rangers beating Blues Forsyth recently the Blues played with the minimum 5 players the whole game, just saying.

You are right though, there are some teams that entered in Mayor's that could have competed in Governor's and President's Cups, not just Warriors. Other clubs like Fullerton, Santa Barbara, and LAGSD Miszklevitz could have opted for Governor's or higher as well as a couple mentioned by @m0relife.

I'd like to give props to Legends Gold for coming up to Governor's after competing in F3 all year. They were clearly not an F3 team in my opinion when they were placed there. They have a dynamo of a striker who wore a #7 that was converted to #17 with tape that had you holding your breath every time she touched the ball. I had seen her play with the 1st team Legends FC vs. Blues Rennie twice and on both occasions she looked like one of the best players on the field across both teams.

There wasn’t a girl on the Legends Gold for State Cup that ever played for the Legends FC.

Sorry, I'm mistaking the center back for Legends FC during the two SCDSL league matchups with the striker for Legends Gold. They both move really well and have a deft touch and composure on the ball beyond what most have at this age.

Ole Red vs Galaxy SD Medina will be two opposite ends of the spectrum. The physicality of Galaxy will give Ole trouble. Ole has speedy forwards that can take anyone in open field 1v1 but Galaxy's defense is so strong and I don't know how many of those opportunities they will get. We have seen that Ole struggles with the physicality based off their results with LA Surf. I will say Galaxy advances 2-1.
I'm sorry but in Blues vs LA Galaxy OC I don't see a scenario where Galaxy can pull off an upset. Blues are too good, too fast and they are in peak form. Galaxy will keep it close but they will be under pressure all game. I think this ends 5-0 for Blues.
Legends vs Chelsea should be good. Chelsea proved in SCDSL that they will keep it close. Legends losing in the group stages scares me for their chances in this match and beyond. My guess is that Legends breaks away for the 1-0 win.

I really hope you were able to catch the games today! I would say, if you saw Ole’ play today you saw the best second half of fútbol played by our girls all season. They were put up against a wall going down 2-0 at the half and rallied to score 3 in the final 15 minutes. You were not kidding when you said Galaxy had a strong defense. They were strong physical and technical. But in the end Olé girls ran them up and down the field and finally into the ground. Very excited to see our friends at Eagles for the semifinal. (Yes they are our friends... a lot of the girls train together). Congratulations to the Final Four!
