Is LV heat/surf?

Is LV heat/surf the best viable option in Las Vegas for high level? I do see that the area has two GA clubs Albion and LVSA. We would like the pros and cons for any of the three clubs. Also, if anyone travels into Norco to be rostered with the Legends?

Yes LV Heat Surf (Still not sure how I feel about that name) is the best option for high level youth soccer in Vegas. They play in arguably the best conference in the best league in girls youth soccer (ECNL Southwest Conference). The ECNL showcases are attended by more college scouts than the GA showcases at this point. There have been a few players that I know off that traveled to SoCal to practice and play for Legends, Slammers, Blues and other clubs. The players that I know that did this attended online school. Other players went the discovery player route. The GA clubs in Vegas are not bad options. Albion LV in my opinion has a better overall coaching staff compared to Heat Surf and LVSA and has a good record of sending players to college despite not being on what is considered the top platform and being in a weaker conference on that platform. All three clubs are viable options that will participate in good showcases. I suggest checking them all out before making a decision.

One way to look at it is there aren't many choices, so it's easier to pick the best one available that fits what you're looking for. Here are all clubs in NV that have most age groups (at least 5 of 7, U11-U17). Here also are the top individual girls teams (2009).

Thank you for taking the time on articulating a great response. It does appear that LV Heat plays out of Heritage park in Henderson? Do they practice at that location also for ecnl?

I'm not able to see how LV heat faired in league play 2024-2025 seasons for u13-u19. ECNL page is only this coming season.

Awesome! I just loaded that app. Do you know how they did during the 2024-2025 ECNL u13-u19 last season?

With that app, you can research it all. Buy the $10/yr pro sub, and it will show you full game data for every team in the database. (there's a 30-day free trial if you decide not to keep it). Click into any team, look at the game data, click on view data source, and it then has a link to the website where it got that data from. Many things can be found by just googling them - but this is generally quicker and more reliable when researching teams in my experience.

It will depend on the coach they assign to coach your kids' age group. Talk to the coaches at Heat/Surf, LVSA and Albion LV. LVSA and Albion LV GA are both very good options. LV Heat/Surf is the strongest club overall, but not so much better that would overtake the factor of having a coach who knows what he/she is doing and believes in your kid. My personal belief is that if a club wants to put your kid on their "B" team, they don't really believe in your kid, and they should try going elsewhere. But that's just a general rule, noting that there are exceptions where the "B" team is a great option.

Heritage park is the primary location that most of the Heat teams practice, although some teams may practice at other parks from time to time.
