I recall an incident (series of incidents?) a few years back where a Washington youth club was suspended by the State Youth Soccer office because they had kicked out a player whose father had exposed some financial misbehavior. I think there was a bingo hall that supported the league that was successful for a time, but then everything fell apart.
 
Too many organizations, federations, State association that care more about making $ than cooperating or making for a united system to help develop players better.

Soccer is highly fragmented in this county hopefully, one of these days we unify, lower the cost & travel barriers, and get more players interested/involved from a broader demographic.

I'm curious as to how many of the people from Crossfire who are pushing for the training compensation and solidarity payments to be allowed are involved with this Washington State Association. I find it incredibly disheartening that USYS would respond in the way they did, but at the same time, I don't honestly expect any better from any governing body.

All anyone cares about is protecting their piece of the pie :'(
