How’s the 2025-2026 season going?

Don't think wins-losses and even scores matter much to college coaches at showcases. They know that most clubs are trying to get exposure for all of their players. Girls who never touch the field during league are getting signifigant minutes at showcase

Yes, but one would argue coaches are going to come see your team play in playoffs and if you’re not in playoffs or showcase A or whatever other event, you’re not being seen. I agree, the scores don’t matter, but getting into the events do. You can’t tell me the same colleges and the same volume are coming to places 1-4 versus places 16-18. There is a difference.

Surprised as well. Not that MVLA beat them at Phx showcase but overall for the 3 days, they went 1-1-1. Slammers FC and Mustang SC looked really strong this weekend.

Koge looked great in Phoenix. Nothing like a little slump to build some character. I believe that MVLA, Hawks etc dont play high school soccer. Koge, legends etc do play high school soccer. Koge is getting their rythm back

Nobody is arguing that teams 1-4 are the same as teams 16-18. But schools don't care if HBK, Surf or some other good team wins or loses the game that they're watching. They are watching a player or handful of players. And there is talk of there being "friendlies" at playoffs so teams as far down as 14th place will still be going to Seattle. And schools don't follow rankings. They already know which clubs produce good players.

3. Legends at 22 points. 5 games left: Still has to play SD Surf and Slammers. Predicting 3W/1L/1T 10 points -32
4. Beach at 22 points. 5 games left: Still has to play SD Surf and HBK. Predicting 3W/2L 9 points -31
5. Breakers at 20 points. 5 games left: Still has to play HBK. Predicting 3W/1L/1T 10 points -30
6. Slammers at 18 points. 6 games left: Still has HBK and Legends. Predicting 3W/2L/1T 11 points -29

Dark horse:
Phoenix Rising at 20 points: 4 games left: Toughest game is Breakers. Predicting 10 points. -30
Blues at 19 points: 5 games left: Still has to play Breakers. Predicting 3W/1L/1T 10 points -29
You taking into account new player additions to teams or injuries in your projections? Those two factors have changed the look of a couple of these clubs. After the top 3 teams the bubble teams benches are pretty slim so adding or losing 1 to 2 starters could be a game changer for some of these bubble teams. Going to be an interesting finish to this season.

I love looking back on these predictions. Everyone pretty much had this predicted correctly. The only thing nobody picked up on was Eagles sneaking in. Very surprising considering their best player went to Breakers. Pretty interesting too because if Blues beat Breakers that last game the Breakers would of been 6th place and out of the playoffs.

My predictions wasnt too far off! It will all still come down to the top 3 heavyweights for this age group. Everyone else is playing for college exposure (as they should). Next year will be much different with trap players moving.

Surprised that people still care more about team results than their kids college recruitment
I think you can do both at the same time. I consider integrity in sport to mean You always do your best in playing the game to win and unfortunately, in today’s society, there is too much emphasis on self-centeredness. My experience is focusing on the team is usually in the best interest of the individual.
