Get ready folks

If a player is not dressing or getting meaningful minutes they are not developing as quickly as they potentially could. This is just the youthful (or parent) ego that unfortunately could prevent them from being offered other opportunities.
The problem is everyone (clubs, coaches, players, colleges, us soccer) the second tier as if it’s garbage. And god help the 3rd tier. The truth however on the boys side unless you are a player that dresses at an academy, or a starter for a handful of other clubs, it’s really all garbage but somehow we’ve managed to convince folks the first tier is all somehow special.

Ask any NL player if they want to play for their RL team for playoffs. 99.9% of them will say no
Can we be real for a minute. Agree here to an extent but there's an exception :

Ask any NL player whos teams been eliminated from playoff contention if they want to play RL for the playoffs. 99% of them will say YES. The other 1% will find a new NL club who made the playoffs.

I guess the .1% is doing it then. Sorry but your so so wrong on this. Put your head back in the sand but its definitely happening.
Rainbow has been wrong with 99.9% of his/her takes on youth soccer for over 7 years. I real, "know it all and a nasty one at that." Elites stole soccer but I came here to shine a light on the pay for play nonsense we all have experienced, and I will help bring soccer back to the 99.9% of us who have been priced out, lied to and cheated.

What do you think? Since "lists" are in now (and some soon to be out) - should we compile our own LIST of corrupt coaches, docs ,clubs and parents so all the newcomer's can play connect the dots? I mean - until someone actually starts dropping names the cycle will continue.

"$oCal $occer Flight Li$t"

Some believe the First World War was triggered by a single shot in 1914 - We all clamor for change here (except the Elite) - If change is going to happen, something needs to be done because these greedy clubs continue to cash more and more checks each and every year - lets also not forget the PPP Money that was handed out to theses MEGA CLUBS. Where did all that money go? Wasn't invested into player development nor coaching development since US Soccer keeps falling further behind. I did see quite a few new and shiny BMW's being purchased over a 15 month period by directors and coaches though..............................................................................................

The clowns that started Girls Development (grooming) Academy forced the age change because, "The world is watching." Then they forced the girls to make a decision of an either-or youth sports situation. GDA said, our travel elite league 24/7, 4 days a week and only play soccer, soccer, soccer and no high school soccer allowed, or you will be kicked out of OUR ELITE travel league that 99% can't afford. Then the clowns changed their rules after other kids followed their stupid rules and the rich elites got a special elite waiver for their child to have their cake (hs soccer) and ice cream (GDA). Then Covid 19 hit our shores, and this dumb league quit on all of us and took off. Their headquarters was in Chicago at an old mafia house, go figure🤔 The women that worked there were harassed and abused. The mega clubs just changed the sign out front and rebranded. Now, were going back to the way things were in 2015. Youth soccer needs help. I will say we have some great coaches in the game. We need some good coaches to come on here and share. No one believes a bitter and resentful parent with sour grapes. Plus, this org is so huge they will squash any parent with concerns of the kickback side hustle business.

Getting Harold Daggett vibes here.

I think you're wrong that GA is GDA 2.0.

GA is a copy of girls ECNL. It's US Soccer's way to take over the girls youth soccer market without buying out Christian Lavars (one of ECNLs founders).

Once GA hits critical mass they're going to create Academy teams just like MLSN that play regular clubs.

Name me one club that did this. I'm not saying that it didn't happen, but let's call out the clubs that are doing it.

At last year's RL playoffs some parents on my team were saying that Blues (who knocked us out) was bringing down ECNL players. I checked back on the video and was able to verify that every Blues player out there was only rostered on RL and not on NL roster. Maybe people want to believe that a team had to use NL players to beat them...who knows.

Not really buying that. Garbage compared to what? The scale can't be a binary choice between "on an MLS Academy team" or "garbage".
Europe only a handful play for the academies and have a shot at the pros. Everyone else plays tiered rec. The distortions we have in the market are because of college recruitment and scholarship (which they don't do in Europe). Soccer can't be everything to everyone: a place to develop pros, a place for college recruitment, a place to win trophies and medals, a place to have fun with friends and get some exercise...if it tries to do all that, it will fail (which it has on each of the targets). And don't get me wrong...I didn't say they academies are the be all end all envy of the world....but they are the one part of the system that is (somewhat) functioning as intended.

I can confirm 2010 Blues had at at least one NL player guest playing at the RL playoffs on their RL team, as well as other clubs.

I was talking to a good friend from an RL team that had won the championship for their age group, and they had no NL players come down to play. So if there was rampant abuse of NL players in the RL playoffs, it seems unlikely an RL team with no ringers would have won the whole thing. But it would be easy enough to prove/disprove with all the video at games these days. Not that I have any rooting interest here - just putting in one more data point.

Does it really matter?

Here's something to try. Ask someone who was on the sidelines watching a game what the final score was and who made each goal 30 minutes after it completes.

Most people won't remember. The only thing they do remember is if the score allowed their team to advance because this typically means more games to play.

Hopefully your club can make up for other clubs "cheating" by playing down for wins by setting up friendlies with other teams.

RL playoffs are early June. If an NL team is eliminated from postseason that early, it means they failed to make North America Cup.

There are teams like that, but they’re weaker than the best RL teams.
