G2010...How's the Season Going 21-22?

If it was the entire Surf team (w/goats) or the entire Blues team, I suspect it wouldn’t be a close game.

Great battle. Both sides played tough defense. Advantage Ole to the energy factor. Ole started strong the first 10 minutes generated a couple shots at goal but no real threat in them. Leon picked it up after that. Had more corners & scoring opportunities a couple of clear ones that were missed. Seems like Leon forwards lacked speed and ideas but credit Ole with their defensive effort and their goalie was on point. Bad mistake by Leon at the end giving away the ball to a bad throw in which lead to Ole’s goal with 2 minutes left. Great throw in by the Ole player and the ball bounced off a player to an open ole player who found herself with that an easy put in. I think we can say Ole can play with any top team and give them a battle. Congratulations Ole for pulling off the victory. Well deserved.

They already beat the Blues in State Cup so give a little more respect to Ole they are the real deal too

No doubt. Ole is the most improved team this year. They ran through Albion, beat a Surf/Blues combo team, they are state cup finalist and have that win over Blues at state cup. Not sure what their coach is doing but it’s working. They have to be ranked as a top 5 team within California South.

Thanks for posting that video. As much as Ole is the team everyone loves to hate (watch the video with audio on an you'll get a small taste of one reason why, especially at 8:49) you have to admit they are for real. Beat Blues and Beat the Blues Surf combo. And I think it's disingenuous to say the top Blues and Surf players weren't there. Other that #21 on Surf, it looked like they were all there.
And to say the coach wasn't playing to win is just not accurate. The really good left wing on Ole, #21 moved to the right side for part of the 2nd half. When she did, the Leon coach switched his outside backs to keep the same defender marking her. A coach that isn't playing to win would not make that type of tactical move during the game.
Looking forward to Surf Cup, and I agree with the other tread that Ole and Eagle are in the wrong flight. We'll see if it changes....

Sorry, they were not all there!!! 6 were at the National Futsal Championdhip in Kansas. I’m not saying th Surf that was with Leon are bad by any means. They just aren’t the goats of the team, expect the defender #4!

Total disappointment... Olé would’ve competed in either of the above divisions. They started slow but finished like they should’ve finished being that they were the best team in that division. I saw teams in the above divisions that should’ve not been there. Olé deserves much more credit than what they’re getting instead of excuses from the losing sides..
Sometimes it's better to let your actions do the talking for you. (As Ole did at Surf Cup)
Which bracket your team was placed into is 100% Surfs choice. If they want to put your team in a lower bracket fine, smash the competition and walk away with the cup.

Definitely, hope that next cup they get to face the top teams. I think this group is ready for that.
Surf had a tough job doing brackets with such weak information on teams. A lot of teams only had a few games to look at. With less information, it’s harder to guess which teams are the top ones.
No one here predicted MVLA winning their bracket or Blues going winless, for example. If we can’t pick top 4, don’t be surprised if Surf made some mistakes picking the top 16.

Carlsbad ad Albion could have barked just as loud with being placed in flight 2. Albion was vocal about their placement,.. whereas Carlsbad played who was put in front of them and took care of business.
