G2010...how is the 2020 Season going?

Oops my bad

Surf picked up 4 (2 forward 1 winger 1 CB)
Albion picked up 3 (1 winger, 1 CM 1 Goalie)

what players are you talking about?
@SoccerFan6
For me, 2 of the best players in the entire age group were SDSC last year. The left footed CB who is one of the twins, and the forward with the headband (I think #12). Every player from SDSC can ball, but those two are another level. Sounds like they went to Surf.

Royals Cup

Best Matchup of pool play

Blues vs RSL-AZ South

Blues vs AJ United
**3rd game
Let’s see if Ajax improved

Blues taking the hardware

Copper Sky

Surf SD vs Sporting California Arsenal
**should be an exciting game and which team shows up ready to play

Surf SD / Arsenal taking the hardware home

Let’s see some predictions and have fun

The only ones I question are Legends and Slammers PA to be Tier 1. Who did they add that makes them worthy of Tier 1. When last Season Tier 1 where SDSC, Blues, Eagles. Albion and surf jump to Tier 1 Because they were a Tier 2 that picked up 1/2 A team that was Tier 1. But can we say the same for Slammers PA and that new Arsenal team. Who did they add?

Great question about both teams..

did the Aresnal have a team last year or did they merge with another team?

***you must be a proven winner in big tournaments

Maybe I'm too kind, but I have Albion, Surf, and Arsenal in Tier 1. I understand they aren't "proven winners in big tournaments", but here's why. We can agree to disagree, I'm just happy we're actually talking soccer.

Albion - State Cup finalist who finished the year strong. Added key SDSC players who have a pedigree of winning.
Surf - State Cup Semi-finalist who added
the top SDSC players.
Arsenal - State Cup Semifinalist, but easily could have been in the final if they were on the other side of the bracket. Got better as the year went on, and were the only team to beat the Blues 2x last year (I think they went 2-3 against Blues, but last year seems like a distant memory so someone correct me if I'm wrong) Only thing with Arsenal is I'm not sure who they added.

Can anyone report on the Colorado and Texas teams for 2010? (and whether they’ll be at Surf AZ)

Real CO seems to have been cleaning up in U12 Champions league. Games that were ties or close losses last year are now 3 point wins.

i agree with your comments in the teams you mentioned and spot on...but right now they all paper champs. They all need to prove they can win when needed. Arsenal did beat Blues (2) in season last year but got crushed by SDSC
. All teams need to rise up. They did beat SDSC in state cup give them credit for that.

City FC beat Albion at Arsenal challenge a couple of weeks ago. Give credit to City FC and was a shocking win. Adjusting to 9x9 and possible new teammates is the key to success and great coach will help tremendously.

I’m glad the games are competitive and most importantly they are playing and having fun.

Blues - State Cup Champs (2)

Eagles - no major tournament champsions but had great showing in major tournaments and past proven champions.

SDSC- No longer a team

Legends / Arsenal - played in smaller tournaments but had great season wins against Blues and a great state cup run. Unfortunately did not play in the big tournaments

Albion - had a great season and were
Finalist in (Albion Cup) and (State Cup). Albion finished in 1st in Presidio beating SD Surf (2)

SD Surf - had a great state cup run and that’s really it.

Am I the only one that thinks a golden boot award for U11 and youngers is dumb?
lighten up francis, following that line of thought we ought to skip medals and after game ice-cream because its "dumb". If she scored more goals than anyone in the tournament whats wrong with a golden boot. you're right tournament directors shouldn't have made the tournament any fun, they could have made another 10 bucks not buying that trophy.

515e6tSShBL._AC_SY400_.jpgIf your giving out "golden boot" you have to give out "Golden Gloves" for goalies. A lot of parents and Coaches make mistakes by not celebrating the defensive side of Football, especially @ and early age. I'm a little bias, coming from a keeper family.

totally agree, except rainbow and the others who gave his dumb comment a thumbs up, they would think recognizing goalies is "dumb" too. because only premier league soccer strikers and keepers can truly earn an award of that stature... you know.... cause they're .... uhhh older than U11

21 goals over 5 games.
My dd got "hardest worker award" at a big time camp when she was 9. All these pissed off mama bears with 9 year olds got all mad because my dd won an award she knew nothing about. Brand new soccer ball and gift certificate to Cold Stone. These whiners and their husbands were like, "How come my little one didnt get at least a participating certificate" bull crap. I have answer. Because the camp director of coaching thought my goat worked her ass off that week and she did. By a long shot too :) Big cry babies some people were and are. Congrats on #2 Luis. We did one those 3 x 3 and we had an all Blues finals too. Slammers had a few teams but we crushed them!!!! Today, my dd would not win the hardest worker at 6 x 6 social distance BS soccer camp, that is 100%.

very impressed with the new 2010 team coached by Alex. They brought the energy and effort to the field and gave our team a little surprise towards the end by making that comeback run. Fabi got that last goal to get the 3-2 win but it was really anyone’s game. Could have gone either way. Let’s do another one soon. If you guys can get a better field let us know. My only complaint was the field conditions. It was bad but aside from that, great game
Thank you, this team is coming together nicely. Great group of girls and parents. That Fabi goal off the corner at the final whistle was a heartbreaker, but great first time volley by Fabi. Those field conditions were horrible and hurt both teams, we have a better location we can play at soon.
