G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

If your 9yr old is thinking about anything other than the game before the game itself you’ve already lost. 9yr olds don’t need gifts. They need to train 5 days a week, eat properly, be in bed by 8pm and when they are not training they need to watch and break down film. These are goats not your average 9yr old.

Just 5 Mic? GOATs like OM go 7 including major holidays...that is until they blow out their knee before they even make varsity.

Luis, your daughter is a great player. I was watching her closely and she more than held her own against the most impressive collection of talent and athletes in the age group. I pointed out the one mistake because I was honestly curious if you could admit she was less than perfect. You did, so props to you. The thing about defense is if you play a great game and make one mistake you’re the villain. If you’re striker and play a horrible game with one moment of greatness you can be the hero. Life is unforgiving in the back.
and for the GKs too. CM are the princesses who never make a mistake and the forwards, please don't get me started on the biggest scam position in youth soccer today. I mean no offense to all the forwards but when they choke and miss a shot, you don't hear much about it. Or their offsides like all the time and don't know how to make proper runs. Some of these forwards will blame the passer 100% of the time. However, if defender like #2 makes one little mistake it's off to the races and then: boom, bam thank you m'aam........goallllllllllllllllllll Or for poor Keepers sakes, she makes one mistake and the game is over 1-0 and the losing team had the ball 80% of time and everyone of the parents look at the keepers parents and have that look on the face...…….

From Alex Morgan herself.......
That's my dd life right there except she's not no Alex Morgan soccer wise. I remember listening to my child @14 and how much she wanted to play Volleyball, Soccer and Track in High School. The pressure to specialize in soccer in SoCal is insane. Where does all this pressure come from? Dad? Mom? Both? Club? Doc? Coach? Private Trainer? All the above? Oh, plus you better get a 4.0 in school and do all your home work on planes and don't think about playing multiple sports for social reasons because you will fall too far behind in soccer. All this costs up to $4100 in fees plus all the travel and food and more travel. Top goats get in for free, keep that in mind too (except for Blues). If you make the QF of the DA Cup you are rewarded with flying to North Carolina. Let's see, SD, CO, FL and now NC all in one year for 14 and 15 year olds. That is sick!!!!! @Luis Andres take the Blue Pill bro. One year at a time. Talk less on the forum but still be you without, well, you know what to do...…lol

Nine year olds need playdates, birthday cake, cookie bake-offs, and pool parties.

If they love the game, it always devolves into futbol without parents saying a word.

No pregame sleepovers, though.

Personally I get extremely angry that kids this age insist on doing a cheer just before the game... totally f's up their focus level. Almost as bad as my daughter getting over a loss 10 minutes after the game ends when she sees a puppy and wants to pet it!!!! She should really remain appropriately depressed for the next 24 hours like I am dwelling on all that went wrong!!

Ohh Lord,

The drama continues. Why am I not surprised? I finally got my cast taken out after 3 1/2 months and I'm feeling great. I could have used crutches but due to my age Doctors decided that a wheel chair was best suited for me. The things we take in life for granted like walking can have a new meaning and special appreciation after going through a bad accident and almost losing a limb. But the Lord helped me, was there with me every step of the way or best said every roll of the way.

Ohh how magnificent, the Mighty Blues do it again. Makes me quite proud to hear this news. Was looking at the link you guys posted and seems like Real Socal needs some changes made to their younger divisions. To come to a tournament and play these top teams and not compete is somewhat embarrasing to me because I have lots of respect for them and my daughter played there as well. It's a shame.
