Fall 2021 SoCal Flight 1 Brackets

Agree there are way too many teams in flight 1, but the blues coach feeling the need to rub the other teams nose it with a 0-17 win seems like a complete scumbag. A score of half that would have sent the message loud and clear.
100%

No they're playing flight 2 in 2009 bracket and kicking everyone's butt. But it is technically flight 4. Theres ecnl, ecrl, discovery and flight 1 ahead of those flight 2 teams.
Don't forget there's also 2009 teams playing GA and DPL that are on par with ECRL and Discovery.

Saw MVLA play and they are the real deal. Going to be a great game tomorrow vs SD Surf. 2 of the best passing and well-coached teams playing.
Game report:
One of the best games of the year. MVLA is an awesome team and gave Surf everything they could handle. MVLA has several very large girls and one of them scored early on a beautiful placed shot in the upper right window. Surf came back with their speedy right winger taking it down the right side and hitting the forward in the box for the goal. MVLA then scored just before half on a comedy of errors from Surf defensively. Second half MVLA scored early and it looked like it might be a sad day for Surf, but Surf showed great character. A through ball to their speedy forward and an excellent shot just inside the left post. Then, the same player was fouled in the box and made the PK, all tied up 3-3. Surf having the better of the second half due to their high pressure defense, couldn’t finish the game off until the last minute when a ball was played to their attacking midfielder whos shot was blocked to their defensive midfielder who lofted the shot just over the keeper and under the crossbar and the whistle sounding right after the kickoff. WillJohn had it right, two great posession teams playing a great and entertaining game.

What was the score of the blues / crossfire match?

I love to see @Surfer_dad’s commentary… it’s like reading poetry

Up to date standings just past midway through the season. Lots of games were rescheduled (weather and field permits from my understanding).
Unreported matches not reflected are Pats vs Laguna United, Slammers Cruz vs Beach Kutscher, and LA Surf vs TFA SGV.

9-1, 10-1, 7-1, 8-0, 8-0.

59-4, 56-0, 26-10, 60-9, 46-9. Lotta blowouts.

You guys need a champions league.

Thanks for doing this! Just curious, does anyone know which letter league (ECNL/GA/ECRL/DPL) some of the top 3 teams play for? Ole Soccer Club? United Socal SC Blue? Liverpool FA IA Socal?

9-1, 10-1, 7-1, 8-0, 8-0.

That’s where Discovery/NPL comes in next year along with teams moving into the ECNL/ECRL.

Should be more balanced next year.
