My DD's club is bringing in some new coaching staff this year for her age group (G2007); a few of them are from the area and we have an idea of how they coach during games based on experience playing them multiple times over the years, but others we have not had a chance to see them coach in pratice or in a game. One of the additions is Mark Crawford, who was previously coaching Girls DPL at West Coast FC. Prior to that he was with the Sharks. I am looking to get some feedback from anyone who has a DD that has spent time playing with him. Just curious of how you feel about his coaching style and methods. We have has some great coaches, and some poor coaches during the years, and I would like to have a little insight on what to expect. You can PM me if you prefer.

My DD played as a guest GK (he coached the 2001 ECNL and she was on 02 ECNL). In our experience he was a good guy, good coach. Like every coach, some may have different experiences. That 01 team had some tough player dynamics. He had a lot to contend with but they all played hard and tough. Mark was always very supportive and very complimentary of my DD.

I did referee couple of games he coached. He seems very calm and knowledgeable in instructions he provided during the game. He also very respectful to his players, opponents and officials. Just my 2 cents.
