THAT is the problem. Cal South has not been clear as to how many spots are open via play in. If it is 4 spots, who gets through with 5 brackets? Based on points? What are the tie breakers?
With IE Surf getting an automatic bid, that is another team (along with Legends) that on paper doesn't look like they should have gotten an automatic bid (nothing against IE Surf) based on CRL's rules. LAGSD did have to play in so it looks like Cal South extended automatic bids to the top 6 finishers in CRL from last year. The lack of transparency and clarity as to the rules is very disappointing.
