I believe this is how the old DA used to do things as a well when they brought on new clubs.

I guess it makes sense Olders continue to play where they're used to playing. Youngers teams (where they're most likely to attract new players) can advertise GA affiliation.

Assumption is that if they're successful in the league the new youngers teams will also be GA + the olders will age out over time.

If you are referring to the Girls DA, no…that’s not how it happened.
