Albion SC (East County specifically)

Don't these clubs do their due diligence? I've respected City SC as a well run / professional club (from an outsider's perspective) and thought if they came to EC they could make a splash and be a good option for the surrounding communities. Not sure how I feel about them anymore.
EC San Diego has always had talent its odd that for whatever reason clubs and teams cant keep themselves from imploding every couple of years.

I dont know how City does it but they are pretty good at keeping non Carlsbad affiliate clubs together and in alignment. Hopefully City can help to make things happen providing stability and opportunities for EC players. History says it isnt likely to happen but you never know.

Sporting SD has been around for over 10 years in EC and has seemed to grow continually over the last few years. With MLSN Academy options for boys, they will likely continue to grow. Their top boys' teams are strong and based on socials, their girls' teams are on the come up.

Looks like it. Most of the EA2 team sticking around. F1 team who knows. Club has been quick to invite EA2 players to train with MLSN team and introducing a new coach. Sounds like MM should have been giving this option to players all year but was "Shielding them"
So has Albion given the team(s) any sense of their plans going forward? By my count Albion has 10 B12 teams, and the two MM coached EC squads were easily two of the top five. I've heard rumors they would love to poach some of the EA2 kids for the MLSN-AD squad, but that still leaves a lot of kids kicking around EC. SN's a great coach, but his squads were not at that level this year.

Could come down to how the ages breakdown with SY.
But seems the 2012 EC group could be donzo if enough follow Mike or move to letter league teams at central/robb.
Hard to believe there won't be several EC-based B12 teams next year; question seems to be about level. The two MLSN will remain at John Muir, obviously, but less clear where the EA(2) teams will land. I'm also hearing rumors they are thinking of an NPL squad next year for this age group given their numbers. But at the moment they have more boys than coaches, and it would seem they are at risk at losing a lot of players if they don't have a clear vision before the requests for next year's checks go out in December.

Yes EA2 kids have been training with/against MLSn kids. Sounds like they are trying to scrape together full team to finish the year after HS break and go from there. No word on a coach yet. Depends on how the age groups break up next year if EC has even one 2012.

Good morning. My son has been invited to join a "high level" team that will be coached by Jason Aldous.
I have read up on the things he is accused of doing (money related things). Have there ever been accusations, or proof, of him doing anything to endanger children?
Also, if it is well-known that he has embezzled money, etc, why have charges never been filed?

Thank you
JA has never been accused of doing anything to put kids in jeopardy. He is a committed and enthusiastic coach. As a director, he is compromised and sliding around trying to find a personal buck. Personally, I don’t think he prioritizes player skill and fitness over tactical which doesn’t translate well to results at the level of the game amateur youth athletes are playing (yes, all the way to the ECNL/GA/MLS level), but to each their own. As for ‘high level’ team, take that with a block of salt.

Well, that was fast: looks like Albion has already removed the F1 team from their internal club app (although I note it still appears on the public website with a TBD coach) so I guess they have no hope of keeping it together. It seems they are holding a set of scrimmages this weekend amongst their other B12 Academy teams (EC/CS/SD) so I suspect they'll invite out the EC F1 kids that are interested to see how they all shake out.

I also note they've listed a new (to me, at least) coach for the EA2 squad...

Really a bad look for City to be associated with know fraudsters in youth sports.
