It was too good to be true. A normal thread, a little prognosticating by a few dads. Nope it had to be be invaded by the master of doom, Mr Know-it-All but Knows-Nothing-At-All.

We might not be the best team left, but those kids played a hell of a tourney so far.
Coaches down to parents were hoping we didnt get soul crushed by SB. But we have some talent, we have a little more than last year. Boys played their butts off.
I know we are up against it with TFA. They have talent, coached well, the boys themselves are relentless, work hard, run hard, tough, smart, balls of steel under pressure. We have played them 3 times and lost 3. Some of the boys know each other. So they know whats up.
We finally have the talent to play with more established big teams. So we will see how it goes.

Actually CSL Premier to me is on par with USSDA. That SB team was pretty solid last season. Whatever caused their demise is unimportant though. I'm just saying from having watched PatsLA play that it's unlikely to have those new add- ons push them over the finish line.

That’s funny coming for the guy that’s changes his name all the time. What team I’m from or hood I claim doesn't really matter. And building a post count makes you somebody? Top 5 in terms of wins or development?
Based on wins I'd say GSA and Galaxy.
For Primier right now LAUnited and I guess the top 4 finalists from last season. Like I said I don't know what led to SB's demise but they were up there.
To me though as you already know all this is meaningless. I'm all for development and have yet to have one of these clubs really impress me. TFA comes close to a certain age group before phasing out.

So what happened to SB?
So did you watch the PATS-LA -SB game or any of either teams games these last few weeks?
We scored about 23 goals up to SB game, then added 4 more, and 7 SO overall. Our team is healthy, but still missing one of our best defenders. Over last 2 years we added 5 kids, 2 Mids, 2 Defs and 1 Fwd. We have some size, lot of kids matured playing HS this year, all played Varsity. We used to get muscled, not so much now. We can score from up top, and our mids score.
In SB game we kept up with their pace, tracked the ball well. We shocked them with first goal, PK for 2nd, then boys played to their potential. They did'nt play poorly, we played well.

I'd like to meet you, you seem very knowledgeable, but I'm not driving to Temecula lol. I think your posts may come across as condescending or negative, but I guess the point of these forums is to share opinions and insights and some people may be easily offended or disagree. To each his own.
Question for you- do you really think LAG and GS develop players more, or simply have more top level talent? Ive seen a number of each of their games, and LAG seems to play a more tactical and well coached game, but a lot of Academy teams as well as CSL Premier, SCDSL Champions F1 and Europa teams do as well. Ultimately it seems the teams that play a more well rounded game, win because they play that way, are consistent, perhaps physically dominant to some extent, AND ALSO have more talent across the field, as well as depth. TFA, seems to possess that mix, and Pats LA seems to be getting to that level as well.

Is anyone else surprised that Fullerton made it to the semis?
Pats LA had very weak offense during the SCDSL season. Only averaged barely a goal game. D was solid though. I'm wondering if they merged with the other SCDSL Tier 2 team for Nationals? To mop up SB 4 to 0 is shocking. Rangers getting this far is surprising as well. Team is not that strong. They have Johnny up top who always manages to score ugly goals. Looking like LAUFA vs Pats LA in Finals. #10 on LAUFA is a force to be reckoned with and a game changer...
