04s - Games of the Week

FYI, Surf was missing 3 starters
Looks like Slammers-Macias took down SD Surf EGSL 3-1 in the 2nd game of SCSDL Showcase. Will be interesting to see if the win moves Slammers ahead of Surf in the rankings or just gets them closer. Surf had a pretty sizeable lead over everyone else.

With injuries, illness, and a few kids playing ECNL this season, expect all teams to have those days where you're not sure who's gonna show up. It's not just one team and it won't be the last game where kids will be missing.

It's too bad that CDA-Slammers Macias isn't it CRL as it would be great to have them in the mix and see how the stack up against each of those teams. Pretty impressive that they scored 3 goals on that Surf team.

Even if Surf was missing 3 starters---Surf still held a very good Arsenal team scoreless early in the day and Arsenal has IMHO the best 9 at this age.

Did Randy bring his ECNL '04's this weekend?

Not sure for them they want/need to go thru CRL. They play tough teams in league and two showcases. Play Surf Cup and Surf Thanksgiving. Play Vegas Cup and State and now National Cup and throw in Dallas Cup. Same with Strikers OC. Maybe if they were in Coast it would make sense.

I see someone on Rebels-White got a red card this weekend. No big surprise there. Wonder if it was a player, coach or parent. If it was a player - I have a good idea who it was. Either the pincher or the face elbower.

Meniscus injury for one and a fractured ankle for the other. Our DOC has already stated our club will never play on those fields again. I'm not sure if a formal complaint has yet to be made with CSL and Cal South.
If you are scheduled to play there... Don't allow it!

Thats Terrible! These clubs need to provide fields that at the very least are "Playable".

Maybe refs need to get involved and decide if game should be played on a bad field, they do it when it rains

Any insight to the other fields located at this site. I'm familiar with the field where this happened but are the other fields at the complex just as bad?

Really hope for a speedy, yet complete recovery for both girls! It's one thing to pick up an injury from the course of play, but from field conditions.....at this level.....come on man!

That's horrible! Good move by your DoC. If they can't provide serviceable fields then they should have to travel to your fields.

Apparently CSL has shut down these fields and will relocate the games this season.
Good for CSL as long as they follow through. Once again the CLUB not the girls (SonnyandCher) is an embarassment. I guess if they didnt embezzle all that money they could have done a better job keeping the fields in shape and safe to play on. Hope the Rangers have all road games for rest of the season
