We saw the PKs. Slammers only took 4 kicks and made them all. Stanislaus only took 3 kicks. Slammers keeper did in fact save 2 out of the 3 (super impressive).

Southwest shows strength in ECNL Nationals, much like ACC powerhouses (UNC, Florida State, Stanford, Duke) in NCAA Championships. Other regions chasing a title must come with elite talent, deep roster, and almost zero slack to win it all.
All possible, although I wouldn’t rule out SD Surf (last years champs) being in the U14 mix. A lot has to do with the matchups in the round of 16.

MVLA got away with one against Breakers yesterday, losing 0-1 with 10 minutes remaining but took the 2-1 win with the last kick of the game on an Olympico.
Bay Area Surf look surprisingly good… they only beat Beach 1-0 but they totally dominated.
Koge and SD Surf are just cruising along, Legends quietly in the mix too….Solar only out of state team who I think can challenge but I might be wrong

In recent years, Bay Area Surf has prioritized roster strength over legacy/coach ties, particularly in younger teams as they build. On the other hand, MVLA fields a strong XI but retains legacy players on the bench. This is sufficient for NorCal league during season but not competitive at ECNL Nationals.
Meh. Koge is not a “futbol” team, but plays the game athletically well. At this level, you need luck. Can luck love them 3 times in a row? What does Vegas say?
Sd surf is the quality team. But has fallen short the last two years. Solar should never be counted out due to their quality and free spirited persona. Bay Surf is a real possibility. Quality, skilled and motivated. Legends outcome is dependent on the performance of 3 players, if these are hot - they go. If these are blunted, then no

I heard Legends sustained multiple red cards, is that true? Was there a fight?
Unfortunately Legends is giving recruiters what they want to see.

What does that mean?
It means if you're getting 3 red cards a game something is off. Or something 100% makes sense.
Observed the game. Red cards were harsh. First one from a girl throwing an elbow. Ref gave straight red with no warnings. The second one was the keeper throwing the ball at a girl that had just fouled her in the box literally at the end of the game. The attacker got a yellow, keeper throws the ball for a red. Never seen a red card for that, especially with no time left. However, I was told the keeper was backup so if the normal starter is playing, that one shouldn't have an effect.

Interesting scores from the Round of 16 today. Surf losing 3-0 is a definite shocker. Not a good showing by Southwest this year at Playoffs.
I have a feeling many of the top Socal 2010s already have their college teams lined up. Wins just translate to more costs for parents. But yes, unexpected loss by Surf.
I thought they may have gotten that score reversed. Definitely surprised they didn’t make it to Virginia. I don’t get it, they’re top dogs all year but can’t make it to the big dance at the end of the year. Tough break

Correct. The top 09 players just confirmed which schools are interested in them as of a few weeks ago. The 10's won't know until about a year from now.
