I don't know if you have kids @Hüsker Dü but I know you're a grandpa @espola.
If a story like this doesn't change your mind..I don't know what will.
Just pray something like this never comes to your doorstep.
(That's my biggest fear..not being there to protect one of mine when things go sideways.)
What does that sad and heartbreaking story have to do with due process, rule of law and the Constitution?

Tennessee Star is not a legitimate news source, neither is social media. The story may or may not be true, but I dont see it being picked up by any established news sources, even those that lean right. Now, that doesn't mean that the guy isn't a bad dude. His domestic abuse incidents appear well documented. However, that still isn't an excuse to ignore due process.

After its all said and done, this issue may reflect more poorly on the Dems than on Trump, given the zeal with which they Dems are pursuing the return of a guy with dubious character at best. Its fascinating who the Dems choice to glorify. It appears they may represent less than 20%. Maybe the Dems are the new 1 percenters!
Again you believe trump. Your view of this guys character based on the trump sides narrative says it all.

"I have devoted my life to defending this nation, both on battlefields abroad and in the halls of power at home. I have witnessed enemies, both foreign and domestic, but none are as insidious as those who have infiltrated our institutions, twisted the truth, and betrayed the American people. You know who I’m talking about.

The question that burns in the heart of every patriot is this: When will those who have committed crimes against our state finally be held accountable?

"The "deep state" has been playing a shadowy game for far too long. From manipulated narratives to weaponized agencies, they have trampled on our Constitution, scorned our values, and laughed as we demand justice. They believe they are untouchable and think we will roll over. But here’s the truth: the American spirit does not break easily.

Accountability is coming. Not because politicians promise it, but because the truth has a way of surfacing. However, here’s the hard truth: justice isn’t a spectator sport. It won't just happen because we wish for it. The system is rigged to protect itself; it always has been. Just look at history. Traitors and criminals often escape punishment unless the people demand change. That’s where we come in. We must push, expose, and share. Every conversation, every shared post, and every chance we get, chip away at their armor.

I am not saying it’s easy. But I’m still here because I believe in you, us, and America. The timing? No one has a crystal ball. It could be tomorrow, or it could be next year. But mark my words: the longer they evade accountability, the harder the fall will be. There is a way the universe balances the scales, and the truth does not stay buried forever.

Don’t let them gaslight you into silence. Support those seeking the truth—whistleblowers, citizen journalists, and those brave enough to stand against the establishment. And never stop asking: Where is the accountability?

Keep the faith and keep fighting. America is worth it." General Flynn

"Anyone but Trump" because they want human smugglers in our country to roam free with due process, even though they broke our laws to come into our country to steal, rape and kill our citizens. Du Du is insane. I will pray for him for a miracle. Watty is total mess. The gr8t reveal is no joke. What money will do to get people to play for pay.

Biden administration flagged deported El Salvadoran as illegal alien suspected of ‘human smuggling'

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was stopped in Tennessee driving with an expired license and also was subject of a domestic abuse protective order requested by his wife, records show. Now she is making television appearances and participating in fundraising efforts, so far netting almost $200,000.

Do tell. What is a "legitimate news source"?

"Legitimate" is like "fairness". There's a considerable amount of "eye of the beholder" in the definition. Living through the past 20+ years of getting big stories wrong as well as ignoring them, legacy media has lost its credibility with me. I don't see them as legitimate. They'll tell the truth when it supports their narrative. They'll twist and leave out details that don't support their narrative if they can't ignore stories that don't fit their narrative. They'll work hand-in-hand with corrupt government officials to suppress truth or promote lies.

I'm curious. Who needs to report that this guy is an MS-13 member that you will believe?

Regarding due process - what you are seeing from people now is the same type of pushback that happened with "trans" children where people slowly learned the narrative was BS and the process was being abused. Most people now support removing ALL illegal aliens. This case only demonstrates how hard it is to remove an illegal alien who is a documented bad guy. People also aren't blind to how the legal process wasn't followed for entering the country. To me, "illegal entry" should automatically mean there is no process needed for removal. That is the direction all Americans are moving.

You win the "bingo" game. Watty is not humble right now and has TDS, just like all the rest.

Do tell. What is a "legitimate news source"?
Ha ha, good question, like k&s says its in the eye of the beholder. However, I know what a non-legitimate source is and its the Tennessee Star which is a right wing propaganda website. Look it up, I did, because the lack of substance and the nature of the article made me suspicious.

We need to all stop relying on social media for news, full stop. Its fine if you want to start there, but cross check with established souces. If you want to know what sources are reliable there are a few bipartisan websites that have accuracy and bias ratings. Most of all use your brain and exercise skepticism regardless of source. Don't be a victim of confirmation bias, which unfortunately seems to be the status quo these days.

Sorry to break it to you Sir, but there is no "news" anymore. Truth is that we get "information" from various sources and have to decide on our own what to believe. There is no reliable source for truth. Especially anything that calls itself "news". I guess that might be the same as you're saying, but more.

Hence why you have to cross check just about everything. Journalism is dead for the most part, but I think there are certainly a few news sources that are more trustworthy than others. I trust a story from the Wall Street Journal.

The optics of this issue are not good for Dems. Most people conflate the guys character with his right to due process. Maybe he deserves to be deported, maybe not- my understanding is that there was an order withholding deportation after an order of deportation. In any event, the bigger issue is that he is in jail without a trial. The guy has a right to due process before incarceration regardless of whether he's a likable family man or a gang member, much like the Nazis in Skokie had a right to free speech. You know, that democracy and following the Constitution stuff.

Regarding Rachel Morin, I feel bad for the poor mom, but two things can be true at the same time. Some immigrants do commit crimes and the Obrego Garcia guy is entitled to due process. I do find it odd that the same people that put her forward are the same people that have a fit when people want to talk about gun control after kids being massacred at school. They claim to be disgusted for using the families for political purposes and offer “thoughts and prayers.”

Yes, "rule of law" is a two way street. This guy should have never been in our country in the first place; however, once he is, he is entitled to at least some form of due process. The Justice Department admits it made a mistake, we should correct the mistake, not rationalize it after the fact that it was OK to make that mistake. The proper thing per the rule of law is bring him back, give him a hearing, and then deport him since it sounds like there is plenty of evidence to do so. Domestic violence that warrants a restraining order is plenty of evidence for me to overturn a hold of his deportation. I say this not to favor Garcia, but to maintain our rule of law which is a backbone of our country. (Yeah, yeah, Biden did ignore our rule of law with open borders, but that doesn't make it OK for Trump to not properly vet the deportees). I know this is not likely to happen, but it would be nice if someone finally took the "high road"; instead, of tit for tat extremism.

I will say that Liberals choose a questionable group of characters to rally behind like Floyd, Mangione, Garcia and the anti-Semites. While they demonize people like Musk. It's certainly playing a role in their record low approval ratings.

What did they get wrong?
When did you become a fan of melodramas?

What they got wrong is that he isn't a threat to anyone. He beat the shit out of his wife which resulted in her being granted a protective order against him. Also the claim that there is no evidence he's a member of MS13. Two judges ruled to the contrary. Do you think a wife beater that is in the country illegally should be allowed remain in our country? If you think he's entitled to due process then were on the same page. Like I said bring him back and give him a hearing.

All of that is conjecture. If he is all you claim he is that still isn’t enough to disappear him for life. He can be deported, fine, but do it right. Slippery slope, “we’re looking into deporting, home grown, I call them home grown criminals. We’ll see if we can do that.” Who’s next? Biden? Cheney? The cops from January 6th?
