Does anyone know if the Girls tournament is actually happening this weekend as planned? The website has not been updated and teams have not been updated at all on the schedule. This seems quite strange.

I don't think South Slammers is any different than any other little tournaments which is coming out with schedules on Wed before the weekend. So they still have plenty of time. ;)
 
Don't know about this tournament, but tournament directors that send out frequent communication with updates and estimated schedule releases are doing it right.
It only takes a few minutes to send "Hello. Thanks for registering for our tournament. We expect the schedule will be out on x/xx/xxxx". And then an email update if that schedule will still be met or not.

You absolutely correct and thus the reason why South Slammers will never be anymore than low level girls tournament.

I could not agree more. It shows laziness and disrespect to the clubs that are paying for the event. Is this an accurate indication of how the South Slammers operates as a whole?

I can't answer that. I've heard some good things and bad about their club, just like about any other club.
