Not trolling, just starting facts
Ok, this is the last I'm going to talk in regards to CDA Slammers. For the record, CDA Slammers and Blues are the top two teams in the age group IMHO. The CDA win against Blues at Cerritos Memorial was impressive considering how talented Blues was. The reason why the algorithm puts them lower is because of a few games:

CDA Slammers 6 - LA Premier FC 0 (prediction = 8.5 goal difference)
CDA Slammers 9 - Legends East Corona 1 (prediction = 10.2)
CDA Slammers 4 - CDA Slammers 2010 2 (prediction 5.2)
CDA Slammers 4 - LAGSD Lines 0 (prediction = 8.8)
CDA Slammers 2 - Slammers FC Bryant 1 (prediction = 4.3)

I removed these games from the calculation and CDA Slammers comes out as number 1 by a good margin. But, that's just the nature of the algorithm..each one of these wins where you didn't blow the team away as badly as the algorithm guessed eventually hurts the overall SRS score.

The reason why these rankings should be taken LIGHTLY is because there could be any number of reasons for goal differentials. Maybe a team lets off the gas in order to give their bench players more playing time. Maybe the coach makes the team start playing keep away against really bad teams.

In short, be proud of your team's accomplishments, enjoy watching your daughters kick ass out there, have fun and ENJOY. Don't let silly numbers cloud any of that.

This is a going u9 age group correct?

Ranking teams at this age is fun and should be seen as just that. It cracks me up when grown men and women get all wrapped around the axle about how their 8yr olds team is ranked. I can see staying a case and having a grown up debate about it, but come on man.....the proof is in the pudding not a spreadsheet.

I can only imaging what this CDA teams sideline is like with the posts and threads their parents are dedicating to this Cruz team.

Can't wait to watch them at Surf Cup to see what the hype train is all about.

You've put too much energy into this already!

How good is your other Galaxy team? The one that are playing in this weekends tournament?

No surf cup, and I'm not much of a fan of Cruz

This is seriously the most ridiculous thread I have ever read regarding youth soccer. You are ranking a bunch of 7 and 8 year olds. Instead you should be focused on whether they are having fun and what type of snacks are they having after the game. Who cares if they are winning or losing at this age. This is the wrong thing to be focused on in this age group.

You'll have to settle for CDA's 2008 sideline. They won't disappoint you either.

Part of the American way; learn to love it or don't pass judgement

Come on now....let's not be overly critical. We were all there once before. It's okay to have fun and throw out rankings for entertainment. Just can't take it to seriously. Kinda like the WWE!
