Any predictions for the weekends games? Some good matches set to be played.
Well, I don't have any skin in this weekends games, so I'll take a crack at it. DISCLAIMER: I don't know much about the movement within a lot of these teams so I'm shooting from the hip in this!
Group A - a toss up between Slammers Teams. Coin flip goes to Melendez.
Group B - Alvarez like to pull high end guest players so there is an X factor, but I'm going with the ECNL Reserve team.
Group C - this one will come down to WC Academy and LV Premier (if it's their top team). I'm going with what I know...WC wins this group and LV Premier gets the Wild Card.
West Coast Academy takes it.

ECNL Reserve Team in Group B I believe went 0-7 in EGSL might want to rethink that one
Yah....Slammers (mothership) is pretty notorious for using EGSL as a proving ground for team formation. But you never know. For all I know, Galaxy could have some of their DA players guest this weekend just to get touches. So early in the season, you never know. Sticking with Swasnson's team to win it all.
I know it's early, but we are in SoCal, so all the pressure is on WCFC as the only academy team. Will some of the parents panick if they so much as tie a non-DA team?
I think Swanson is a good enough coach that the parents trust what he will do win lose or draw.
Agree, if you're on the Swanson team then you know what you signed up for.
We could lose every game this year and I would still be happy if my girl was playing nice soccer. Tons of teams in our age group won for the last two years playing a hybrid version of volleyball/soccer or "soccer tennis".
I am totally calm about W and L. The way I look at it the next one to two years we should be calm and HAPPY! Try to let the process unfold and enjoy the moment. The real crazy starts at 8-9 grade so let's have a nice half season lol...
