Nearly half a million unaccompanied migrant children entered America during the Biden administration. But what happened to these vulnerable children after they crossed the border?

In the latest episode of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, Lara and former DHS site supervisor Tarek “Joey” Kadourah discuss disturbing allegations of government failures, unanswered cries for help and children left vulnerable to human trafficking.

Lara describes reports of more than 60,000 calls to a government hotline, along with emails raising concerns about children in danger, that allegedly went unanswered.

She also recounts a chilling conversation with a Border Patrol agent responsible for vetting the adults receiving these children.

The agent told her what kept him awake at night was knowing he might be a child’s last chance to escape exploitation and abuse.

“If I fail… it’s hell on earth.”

How many children were failed by the very systems meant to protect them?

The EFTC allows individuals to claim a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for donations of up to $1,700—or $3,400 for married couples filing jointly—to scholarship-granting organizations (SGOs) to help families earning “no more than 300 percent of the area’s median gross income” cover K–12 expenses. This includes private school tuition, tutoring, special-needs services, and supplies.
While making it easier for parents to exercise greater control over their kids’ education shouldn’t be a partisan issue, the tax credit has not been universally well received. So far, 30 states have opted into the program, and of the 20 that have yet to join, 19 have Democratic governors.

Husker why is it that Dems do not want to help kids get better education and more choices? Trick question. They are beholden to the D teachers union whose control over schools has been a disaster.

Maybe this is apples and oranges, but I'm fascinated by how Dems are against school choice for our American kids, but are all for country choice for immigrants. They're happy to help foreigners leave shitty countries for America but against having American kids leave shitty public schools for private schools or better public schools.

There’s no inconsistency when you understand the incentive for each action is what best keeps them in power. Votes from illegals - who they hope become citizens so they don’t have to blatantly cheat, and money and votes from the Union. Remember, it wasn’t so long ago Barry was staunchly against illegal immigration - before he realized he could get their vote.

Sen. Jon Ossoff perfectly slammed and summed up how sick and depraved the Donald Trump administration is — in particular, Pete Hegseth, the guy who, in high school, was probably voted most likely to become the multiple adulterer and sexual predator that he is.

Speaking with MS Now:

"I think Pete Hegseth is, frankly, Jen, a deeply unwell person who seems to relish this kind of brutality. All the while, he's running a department that is falling into chaos.

The guy cannot run the United States military competently and is spending his time with this kind of obscene, medieval spectacle.

It's undeniable that Hegseth is completely and totally unfit and unqualified for the job he has.

Literally the only reason Trump chose him — other than the fact he's an unethical scumbag who'll say or do anything he's told to do — is that this president "thinks he looks good on TV."

Which also shows you how unbelievably incompetent and, frankly, just weird Trump is.

To think, the person running our military, easily one of the most important roles within this country, was chosen for that role — because Trump likes how he looks on television.

Oh, so "manly" and "alpha."

Especially with Hegseth's bougie makeup room.

And now here we are, this Defense Secretary constantly posting videos of him failing at working out, giving speeches to our military like a failing slam poet, who's now going to carry out a public execution like we're living in Iran, North Korea, or Afghanistan.

I also really liked how Ossoff said that this administration is off the rails, because it damn sure is. Every day is another embarrassment, every day is another shameful comment, and every day is another example of why we're being led by some of the worst, most incompetent people living on this planet.

They're operating as if there are no consequences or accountability for their actions because there really haven't been. Congressional Republicans have completely abandoned their duty as a coequal branch of government and a check on a president's power. They've done absolutely nothing to push back against the corruption, unethical behavior, and, quite frankly, crimes being committed by the Trump administration.

Though that's all hopefully about to change come November 3rd.

The amount of shame Trump, Hegseth, and this whole damn administration bring to this country is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Everything about these people is disgusting, inside and out.

Even if you took your typical kind of scummy person, they wouldn't make as many deplorable decisions as these lowlifes. If you give them two choices, literally every damn time, they'll pick the most shameful, vile, and disgusting.

Because that's exactly the type of people they are.

This is the fourth blatantly racist/bigoted post Donald Trump's made in just the past couple of days, the third directed at Abdul El-Sayed, and not a single damn Republican has had the courage to speak out against this president.

He posted this following last night's debate between El-Sayed and Mike Rogers:

"Mike Rogers, the great American Patriot and Republican Candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan, completely obliterated Mohammed El-Sayed in the big debate tonight. If this was a fight they would have stopped it. Mohammed is a Jihadist lunatic who hates our Country, the Black People of Detroit, and wants to see the U.S. fail. Short on Stature, Patriotism, and Truth, Mohammed’s statements have been loaded up with lies and deceit. I won Michigan BIG, and know that Mike Rogers, a total winner, is the man for you!!! President DJT"

For starters, based on everything I've read and seen, Rogers didn't come anywhere close to "winning" that debate with El-Sayed. Rogers had a moment or two, but spent most of the night basically trying to paint El-Sayed as a terrorist while his Democratic opponent kept pivoting back to the actual issues most Americans are facing.

I've not seen anyone credible say Rodgers won that debate, let alone "obliterated."

Then, after Trump's earlier post on Thursday where he essentially encouraged people in Minnesota to target and go after Somali immigrants, this president is the last damn person who should be talking about anyone else "hating Black people." Donald Trump is an open and blatant racist and bigot, and anyone denying that reality is a delusional fool.

There's also the fact that it's apparently now "normal" for Republicans to call Muslim Americans "jihadists" simply for being Muslim. Then these MAGA people wonder why I don't consider any of them real Christians? Well, when you back lowlife pieces of sh*t like Trump, you tell me who and what you are — and that damn sure isn't a real Christian.

As for "winning Michigan big," it's just another example of how everything from Trump's mouth is total bullsh*t.

He won by 1.4% and roughly 80,000 votes.

The only person with a smaller margin of victory in Michigan in nearly a century — Donald J. Trump in 2016.

His win in Michigan was anything but "massive."

Ultimately, what these increasingly racist, bigoted, unhinged, and erratic posts from Donald Trump show me is how desperate he's becoming as November 3rd is rapidly approaching and the reality of his failures — which we all know he's going to dismiss as "fake news" and "rigged elections" — comes crashing down on him as, hopefully, Democrats win big all over this country to finally elect a Congress that will do its damn job and hold a corrupt, unethical, incompetent, and morally bankrupt president accountable.

And I can't wait.
