Some UN countries recognizing Palestine as a state doesn't mean Palestine is a sovereign, independent country with borders. The UN proposed a state for Palestine in 1947 and the Palestinians rejected it, and have chosen violence over land ever since. The state that was designated for Palestine was subsequently taken by Jordan and Egypt.
