Today in Fascism

This current wave of white rage
What does this look like? How is it manifesting? Who are these white people?

Most of the white rage I'm seeing is coming from white women with unhinged rants on social media, plus a few rando men like Jim Wright who have an odd infatuation with Trump.

Regular white dudes just seem to be going on with their business and giving very little attention to politics and giving no f's about their masculinity.

By the way the last sentence in the post below reminds me of Biden.

I guess this is an example of the type of adults Husker wants in charge.

You know Dems that let someone on the streets with 131 priors...who just set someone on fire.

When oil prices go up, we make a lot of money.

"We make a lot of money"

We.

Trump literally gloating about how billionaires and oil industry shareholders are making money off YOU at the gas pump. It's not Iran who's paying those CEO bonuses and shareholder dividend checks, it's YOU. It's not Iran who's paying for those record profits. It's YOU.

Just like those tariffs -- and now those tariff refund checks that businesses may get -- YOU paid for that. That's money Trump picked from YOUR pocket.

Kasie Hunt obviously obliterating a buffoon and dimwit attempting to parrot the talking points that work with lesser reporters.

YES! CNN host REFUSES to let Jordan squirm out of his lies by bringing RECEIPTS. Media:THIS is how you do it.

Corner them. Keep pushing, show them evidence, until they humiliate themselves in contradictions, and show the American people they have no answers.

Enjoy the Master Class.

Kasie Hunt: Trump says gas prices will be down soon. What does “soon” mean to you?

Jim Jordan: Well, I don't know for sure, but look where we want. We want all the above. And if that means prices go up for a short time, I think Americans understand we can live with that.

Kasie Hunt: So you say we should be willing to live with higher prices. Would you say to your constituents in Ohio that this is worth sending their sons and daughters to the Middle East, potentially to put their lives on the line to achieve what you just laid out?

He refused to answer, trying to change the subject.

Jim Jordan: Do we want this regime... do we want them to have a nuclear weapon? President Trump is doing what he said he would do, he --

Kasie Hunt: I want to show you some of the things he said on the campaign trail and even before he ended up on the presidential campaign trail. Let's watch.

Kasie Hunt then shows him the devastating clip of Trump saying,

“Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East. We more and more are not wanting to be the policeman of the world.

"I will expel the warmongers from our national security state. Look at these endless wars, endless wars. They're drafting you to go and fight in some country that I've never heard. I'm not going to start a war. I'm going to stop wars.”

Jim Jordan squirmed.

Kasie Hunt: He says, “I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars.” How is that an example of President Trump doing what he said he was going to do?

Jim Jordan: Kasie, listen to the interview Mark Levin had with Steve Witkoff. They tried to negotiate with Iran, but... President Trump has done more than all the presidents combined — Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Biden, Obama — all of them combined in stopping Iran from getting this capability. He's also doing what he said on this.

Big mistake. He walked right into Hunt's trap.

Kasie Hunt: “Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate.” That is what he said about Barack Obama. Then he comes into office, you're saying they tried to negotiate, he failed at negotiating, so he had to do the war that he said he wouldn't do.

Jim Jordan: No, Kasie. He said he wasn't going to let Iran — the largest state sponsor of terrorism — get a nuclear weapon.

Kasie Hunt: How long do you think we should be willing to let this go on?

Jim Jordan: I think until we reach the objective, reach the goal. I mean, do you want Iran to have a nuclear weapon?

She didn't take the straw-man bait.

Kasie Hunt: No one is arguing here that Iran is a good actor on the world stage. I think the question, and part of the question about the nuclear weapon situation as well is that, of course, there was a very successful operation earlier in the president's term that they then said got rid of the weapons.

Jim Jordan: But --

Kasie Hunt: Hold on, I want to read this to you from the editorial board of the New York Post.

Jim Jordan: But you can't have it both ways. You can't say no one's arguing that and then say the alternative, oh, we shouldn't do anything.

Hunt didn't fall for it.

Kasie Hunt: I am not arguing that at all. You are saying to me Iran does all these bad things on the world stage. I'm saying acknowledged. They have been a very bad actor in so many ways on the world stage.

The QUESTION is what America should be doing about it.

The right wing New York Post owned by Rupert Murdoch says, “Somewhere between the White House and the Pentagon, the nation's leaders need to start giving the public a regular, clear, concrete sense of how Operation Epic Fury is proceeding. It's as if the administration expects the public to think the occasional high gloss social media video is enough.”

Do you think this administration is doing enough to explain why they're doing what they're doing, how it's going, and how it ends? The New York Post is not a liberal institution.

Jim couldn't come with an answer. So he just started repeating himself.

Jim Jordan: I do. Again, you do not want this regime to have a nuclear weapon?

Kasie Hunt: All right. Congressman Jim Jordan, thank you very much.

BOOM. Humiliated. Cornered. Exposed. EVERY journalist should take her lead.
