Spin for the win with morons is risky business but to each his own. I went to a CB back in the day at it was good grub. Then I went a few years ago and it was old and nasty. The place smells like old food and just old everything. It reminded me of my time trying to eat at Split Pea Soup on my way up North. Old days, that place was so good and the food was amazing. I went before it was closed for good and the place was shit. I walked out super discouraged. Its just like the old San Fran and the new San Fran. I spoke to a guy the other day that moved to Nevada from San Fran. He said the city is shit and needs NG ASAP. Satan did start his church there in 66', FYI.I'm a big fan of Cracker Barrel's chicken and dumplings. I will defend CB like I defended Denny's. Consistent quality, comfort food. I think this issue with CB is being overblown. I don't see it as an attempt to go woke, I see it more as an attempt to modernize. It's interiors are totally dated; however, that's part of its nostalgic charm and CB management grossly miscalculated that appeal. It will become an MBA case study like New Coke and Bud Light. CB could still potentially spin this into a win.
I only called you a fence sitter. You go with the winner and nothing wrong with that.I am an oxymoron. That's why you call me MAGA and Crush calls me a democrat.
This isn’t my kind of “modernization”I'm a big fan of Cracker Barrel's chicken and dumplings. I will defend CB like I defended Denny's. Consistent quality, comfort food. I've said this before, as long as its age appropriate, I have zero problems with drag queens. I don't find them inherently offensive, although admittedly they've gotten more aggressive content wise.
My friend's son does Drag Queen shows for adults 21 year and older up in Seattle. Dad was an Elder but because one of his sons came out as a gay drag queen, he had to step down and rightfully so. Churches can be cruel and harsh towards gays and the parents of the LBG. I only find drags admittedly and inherently offensive when they go to the kid's library and tell stories to the kids and confuse the hell out of them. We all see the videos and the 5 year old looking at the Drama Queen getting attention. Rumor mill has it that Big Mike was the first to do story time with the kids. Then the masks, 6 feet stay away, wash hands ritual and then the poison. This is 100% what happen to mankind on eart. I watched it the last 5 years. One big cartel watty and guess WHO they & them at the top report directly to?I've said this before, as long as its age appropriate, I have zero problems with drag queens. CB's support of the above and other LBGT issues predates its current attempt to modernize its logo and stores by a few years. In the early 90's, CB didn't allow non-heterosexual employees and didn't officially prohibit discrimination based upon sexual orientation until 2002.
There is nothing wrong with being more inclusive without forcing a narrative on others. This is different from being "woke" which forces its viewpoints on others and bases opinions solely on the group identity of the individual without considering the character or qualifications of the individual. Walk into a CB today, and there is nothing that screams, or even whispers, gay pride.
I don’t GAF about sexual orientation. The only time it matters is in “dating”. Then it’s good to know. No one wants to be that dude in “The Crying Game”. Drag queens at adult clubs are not an issue with me.I've said this before, as long as its age appropriate, I have zero problems with drag queens. Except that is not the case and isn't happening.
