Do you think youth soccer prepared him better for football than if he had played football when he was younger?Glad my son is out of soccer playing WR and DB now also running track. I told his coach nothing soccer can do for him football can't.

Most of the stronger players from my experience pick up football at about 13yrs old. Youth Football with weight limits makes all the kids have to start over in high school. Most would have been playing out of position their whole youth career.
I don't feel like you can replicate the footwork development in soccer with youth football training. This is totally speculative, but I also believe that developing foot/eye coordination crosses over to benefit hand/eye coordination.I say it would have been the same. Soccer did not hurt him at all. I did not include the agility training part. Soccer and football do the same training I feel its just ball on ground and other is in your hand. I always assume we are paying extra for private training.
