Nah, I don't think I'll take your interpretation of my post as "truth". That'd be weird. I have stated that his post is dumb and that it's bizarre to me that you can sell Ts with this on it, given the colloquial meaning of the term. If that's not explicit enough for you, then you're reading shit into it that's just not there.

Whatabout 8646 t shirts? For someone who thinks whataboutism is lazy, you sure go to it a lot. Calling what Comey did "dumb" completely trivializes what he did given the circumstances of the attempts on Trump's life.

There are both 8646 & 8647 shirts available, as I said. It's literally the same. One would think outrage at one would be mirrored by outrage at the other. That's not whataboutery, it's hypocrisy and I'm happy calling that out.

If people, inc Trump, are saying that 8647 in the sand says kill Trump, then how are t-shirts with 8647 being sold on Amazon, not saying the same thing, and everyone who is wearing one should, I assume, be investigated.

As a former Director of the FBI, Comey should know better and certainly behave better. Of course, standards of personal behavior are no longer a thing, more the pity.

I don't trivialize it, but I do find the faux outrage to be nothing more than rank hypocrisy. The only consistency people seem to have is that if it hurts my "side" I'm outraged, and if it hurts the other "side", I don't care - even if it's exactly the same.

It's not dumb, it's called illegal for a former head of the FBI to put out a hit. This guy knows full well what it means to 86 someone. The shirts are MAGA people telling folks what JC did and other like him. He will go to jail, just like all the other crooks who stole our country. Treason is very real.

We all know, and so did Comey, that it means "get rid of" which covers a lot of ground. Do I think Comey wants Trump assassinated, no. Have there been two assassination attempts on Trump's life, yes. Of course, it confirms what we already knew about Comey that he is a complete douche bag (and I actually believe he kind of screwed Hilary). My understanding of the term “86” comes from bouncer lingo. “86 that dude he’s outta control.”. I never would equate that as a “death threat”. Trying to depict it that way is just hyperbolic rhetoric in an attempt at outrage. Ironic though that a guy possibly responsible in part for the first Trump term now wants him gone.
