Tesla (Musk) likes HIS immigrants --

Tesla has replaced some of its US employees who were let go as part of a big wave of layoffs earlier this year with foreign workers using H-1B visas, which CEO Elon Musk is now campaigning to increase.
Interesting quotes from the article, "Elon Musk has been promoting the increase of H-1B visas, which are used to bring foreign workers into the US for “specialty occupations.” and "Tesla workers said that many employees let go were more senior engineers with higher compensation and they have been replaced with junior engineers from foreign countries at a lower pay."

Junior engineers are not specialist roles and are they really in short supply in the US and in CA & TX in particular, i.e. in the two most populous states in the Union with a combined population of close to 70M people?

H1Bs have their place, but this would appear to not be that place imv.

I am astounded that you would think I am more partisan than you, never mind light years, esp. as you are clearly "light years" more partisan than I, how could anyone come to any other conclusion ;):p.

The media hasn't been unbiased in a long time now, its not going back. In this day and age, if you want to find less biased news, or different perspectives on the same story, all you need is a phone or computer. Its simple and easy to find. If people are too lazy to do that or too comfortable in their bubble to find out, then that's on them.

Ask Crush if I'm a partisan right winger...oh never mind ;)

I expect more from our primary news sources, you seem to imply you're OK with it since no one is influenced by it. Our legacy media just participated in the largest attempted cover-up in journalistic history with their attempts to obfuscate Biden's mental competency. Is there a larger coverup that you can come up with? Even if you deny its a coverup, you have to admit the media failed in its role as the 4th Estate to be the watchdog of a government.

I agree with you that you do have to put more effort in to it to find reliable news, but it shouldn't have to be that way.

This is an interesting study that claims that the WSJ has the most liberal news (but conservative editorial). I believe the study was from a while ago and may be no longer relevant, but interesting nonetheless.

Happy New Year, or should I say Happy Entertaining Next Year.

I think you were a democrat and now you are 100% independent. No way you were a right winger. You have some conservative values, and you have some left leaning values. Middle of the road kind of guy and ain't nothing wrong with that

Don Lemon calls Trump supporters ‘dumb fucking idiots,’ mocks their ‘stupid MAGA brain’ in video meltdown

'You're so fucking stupid and you deserve it,' Lemon said of MAGA supporters

Nice deflection. Again please provide a source that Trump worked less hours than Biden.
Same thing, people said . . . He watched tv coverage of himself, positive or negative, golfed A LOT! and did rallies even right after winning, famously avoided briefings (and they had to be slimmed down to a quick easy to grasp paragraph from multiple pages) . . . no wonder he’s a big fan of “states rights”, let them do all the work.

America has to go to some obscure link to get unbiased news? Are you thinking about what your saying? We should be able to trust our main media sources, that's my point. And again you pull a strawman about influence. I specifically have repeated that they've lost some of their influence because of their blatant lying and obfuscation. But the 2020 election they had far greater influence and polling proves that, which is all we have since we can't reverse history. (I will just mention that you're claim about them not having influence is purely speculative)

I'm hardly an us vs them type of person, I get shit from both sides on this forum. You're light years more partisan than I am. Do I lean right, 100%, but that has to do with the fact that I'm a small business person. We're all influenced by how we make a living. Husker is dependent on a Union so that's why he leans hard left.

But thanks again for proving my point with the Left being more concerned about what could happen than what did happen. But your right, the next few years should be very entertaining, with Trump doing Trump shit and the Dem's potentially doubling down on denial.
Your opinion that to be union is to be “hard left” is a hard right talking point.

Never a Democrat as far as I know. Haven't voted for a presidential candidate in 3 cycles just out of a token protest for the quality of the candidates. Cautiously optimistic about Trump, just hope he sticks with "success" being the best revenge and not pursuing lawfare. I would hope at some point, someone would take the high road...but I'm not holding my breath.

True, but it's also a pro-business reality, and you're a spitting image of the stereotype. That's your livelihood, so you should support the unions. However, unions are dinosaurs that only care about their own political power. Look how badly the Teamsters failed in their Amazon strike.

Well he certainly got a lot done for hardly working.

“failed”? Another rightwing narrative. The battle for workers rights never ends.
