Games of the week....

For those that played CRL this go around, any feedback, comments, or changes you would like to see for this league?

Been 2-3 years since my player participated but I remember the competition being very good form the: 1-8 teams /w only a point or two separating all those. The venue selection, schedules, and last minute changes were not we hoped for but the comp made it worth it to my two players. Changing the summer schedule of this league is something we suggested: spring instead /w the winter the other half like it is now

I'll take playing in this league over playing in scrimmages or no name tournaments any day of the week, the split season definitely aids with this and it's a big positive. There was some weaker teams - but those teams still put up a fight every game. Felt that there was more of an urgency to do well in CRL then DSL, with the latter being more of a playoff driven league now.

Having a majority of the games at Silverlakes was great. 35 minute drive, adequate fields, I'll take it. Getting in and out of Silverlakes was a little slow this past weekend due to the State cup congestion. There was no last minute schedule changes. Maybe we can get some games at the Great Park next year, especially once the new fields are in, heh.

Starting off the first half of the season with WINS is big. The second half you can see teams that have improved and those that haven't really changed. Our coach club passed a few players during the 2nd half of the season, didn't hear any grumblings about it, was a good opportunity for those boys.

The majority of the refs were good, some better then others of course. If I'd have to complain about refs, it'd be the ARs, offside misses or bad offside calls, it goes both ways. The boys at this age group play pretty quick and not keeping up with the back line hurts both teams.
