I think you will see improvement in a lot of Sharks teams! There have been several coaching and player changes on most of the ECNL teams. It was definitely needed. Sharks has always emphasized developing players and promoting from within which is great but that's not enough to be competitive in ECNL.

100% agree. I have a friend who is very happy with MW and the work he's doing. I wish the Sharks great success.

I've heard grumbling from parents that have had kids there for a few years. Being moved down a level or losing playing time. Sounds like MW's plans are working.
I have heard that too. It's a hard pill to swallow as a parent but unfortunately difficult decisions had to be made by Sharks leadership and coaches in order to improve the competitiveness of their ECNL teams and attract talented players.

It‘s a battle for 5th place.
To say Blues has lost a few players is a huge understatement..
To recruit you have to be likeable + engaged with all players and parents in the area.
Add “in there area -where you are recruiting-.” None of the players are from DM/CV anymore.

Where did all the DM/CV go to play?
Some went to Albion, some went to Surf, some went to City, and some stayed at Sharks.
All the castaway parents are likely relaying to other parents how much of a swell guy MW is.

And this was exactly what MW was hired to for.
I agree, just saying that it's going to be difficult to recruit when theres a group of parents that arent keen on MW. One or two parents each season that arent happy is the norm 30+ across multiple age groups is a challenge.
yeah, so when they ask what they don't like about MW they can say "my kid wasn't good enough for him". Pretty sure every other parent will read right through the lack of "keenness". Again, sounds like there are some kids of parents on here who weren't good enough for him...
And that is what builds Sharks ECRL, SD Force, SDSC etc….
