Pateadores Girls DA 03/04 - Observations

Vague as usual. Even the numbers! 1500+ full scholarships but for over 15,000 total DA players or just for girls? Also why no mention of travel costs? This is propaganda at its finest. No real answers just vague promises. I have seen and heard it before. They are literally making it up as they go along!

I will interpret for you, 1544 scholarships with a base of 5000 girls. For every 3 girls in DA, one of them will be playing for free. The other 2 girls will be paying reduced costs as all teams have lowered their fees compared to ECNL. As for travel costs, 4 clubs in GDA are paying full travel costs in its inaugural season.

Some of these coaches cannot teach the same thing as they will be directed by US Soccer and have to fill out reports and assessments frequently. Some of the coaches are being replaced. One of the DA requirements is Futsol - I know only one ECNL club that even does that optionally today. Looking at a short news piece is like judging a book by its cover.

Will US Soccer mandate NOT playing out of the back like the U20's and lumping the ball over the top for the fast kids to chase? Will the coaches be evaluated based on wins and ability to go far in tournaments beyond creating any type of substantive playing style? Will coaching staff be hired based on having some kind of connection to Jill Ellis? Just curious, because that how it seems to work at the US National Team level?

I don't need to have an idea about your daughter. Your statements about ME and MY daughter are so ludicrously off that it is funny. Again if YOUR daughter in this utopian DA future has half of the success and accolades that MY daughter had and has she will be a top 10 D1 recruit and go to a top school and will win some championships along the way. Regardless of how good you think your ULittle daughter is, even if by all accounts she is the best in whatever age group she is in, she isn't there yet and may never make it. I am looking in the rear view mirror talking about what HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. Mine is on the biggest stage already. If mine showed up at your DD's practice YOUR's would want an autograph from MINE. Whatever you think you have is still a little girl playing little girl games. Mine is a woman competing against women.

Get a clue fool.
Fighting on the internets is so fun.

You have to be fast but you have to be strong too...hence the idea that size equals strength. Rodriguez,Pugh and Dunn are very fast, strong and agile. Period.
be careful people might think you are calling them athletic, using those words to describe those soccer players.:)

Good points LadiesMan217. What do the reports and assessments look like? (I am referring to the form, not a private, completed assessment.) I am curious and want to learn. It would be interesting to hear from the boys side of the DA. How much change occurred when a club moved to DA?

What is the distinction between academy and academy II? Do they have separate practices? Play in a separate league? Wasn't the point to have the youngers play with the olders for their development? Is this move just to keep 04 parents happy?

Is soccer only a little fast, string girl game.
Yes and no. Sometime a dd can catch that 50/50 piece sitting on that shoulder just right with all your favorite sides and they really want to avoid extra time or pks, a ref with let you trade paint. If a team is up or down enough where the game is decided or if a dumb football dad yells out Wham right before the girls take a knee NO. Unless it's in a big cup that when the coach get Smart and call over our dds for some coaching because yelling at our dds while they have the ball at their FEET or when they are DEFENDING wasn't working the Ref has time to hear the moms and the Ar views, No. I guess it's low key bantamweight real.

I can confirm with certainty that offers for at least the Pats 03 Academy II team has started. I suspect that offers for 03 Academy I have also started.
Congrats. Early offers are a building blocked. One Instagram post away from friends giving dad's those dd eyes and saying come on dad she my friend and they had more tryouts. Usually skilled technical players have friend they kick the rock around with. Those skilled players usually have dad's that share common issues or old awards to talk about. Carpooling which isn't an issue it's the trust and that's been cool since Ulittles Make that call. Tell a Friend. Once again congrats.

Right right, until a girl who is just as fast and is just as strong, steps in and says gimmie that cookies...lol
