How's your girl's 09 season going?

Great tourney for Eagles, congrats! Not to take anything away from them, I heard Slammers PA had numerous kids with the Flu, unfortunate break during a almost two month time from start to finish of state cup. I always thought state cup should end by each year end.

Nope, you got that backwards. It is Eagles that had players out due to the flu. Including their best offensive player.

@chiefs you are seriously delusional, don't know what your trying to do on this forum, always dogging on the Eagles, saying some BS trying to get a rise. I can give you a rise, first off little guy, what team does your daughter play for, for all the crap you talk atleast say where you play. Wait let me guess, a former Eagle right, maybe an angry parent, fits the mold. Well I will set the record straight for the Eagles no one had the flu. Not sure on the other teams, but seriously your team should not be so reliant on ONE person. Seriously you sound so pathetic bashing teams and coaches on a 9 year old soccer forum, do you have some issues you need to get off your chest, by your comments on once again a 9 YEAR OLD GIRLS soccer forum you might think of venting on another site, doctor, etc etc.

No idea what your saying; your awfully sensitive, go get help.... broader theme of previous statement is scheduling of state cup. I think it should be completed on a calendar year basis.

Everyone was affected by that same break. I'm guessing Slammers Cruz must have all had the flu too?! Please. Eagles outplayed and beat both those Slammers teams hands down.

Ok, deflect the/your issues to me, I can take it. Try just a compliment without taking a swipe next time then!!!!

Cluck! Cluck!
Don’t forget, ladies and gentlemen, that these are 9yr old kids. They are out there playing their hearts out for love of the game. They deserve love and respect, and not disrespect. They are not professionally payed players, so don’t talk smack like your child is one.
If you stopped to watch the Eagles/Slammers finals game, like I did, you would have seen two teams that played an AMAZING game of soccer. Both teams fought hard and went out there to win. It did not look like any player was missing from either team. So leave the excuses at home. Eagles came out on top, plain and simple. Congrats to both teams for making it to the finals!!

You guys are funny. Talking smack on 9 year old teams. LOL!! Bottom line any team that wins twice in a row on any age group is amazing. It's like people hating on the Patriots because they claim to getting all the NFL breaks to win the championship every year. (I am not a patriots fan). At the end if you keep winning it's not just luck, you have to be good to do this often.

Time to wrap up this season and move to 9v9.
Looking back did the performance of your daughters’ teams met or exceed your expectations in the past year?
Did the club system produce results and therefore happy customers?

Silver North. Whos teams coming back? Anyone else see problems getting numbers out or keeping teams together?
Don’t know the full deal but LAPFC and FC Golden State are playing in a 9v9 Spring League (looks like we have Team USA with us there too). Don’t know anything first hand about the other Silver North, but my take is they will all be fielding 9v9 teams - especially Eagles, SB, Aztecs, Ole.

The Ole coach has taken his whole 09 team to Real So Cal.

@Chalklines You’re SB, correct? Assume you guys are fine for next year.

Teams good. Looks to be adding like everyone else for 9v9.

Got wind of Ole possibly leaving for SDCSL and MSA disbanding. Figured I would ask who's left.

Why don't the eagle's play in the same league as Real? Still new to the region. They look like neighbors on a map

Yeah, MSA would have been the only one I would have speculated on just given the appeal of their best players hopping to Eagles if they came calling when expanding to 9v9....but had no first hand knowledge.

So was it just the Ole 2009 team or is Ole as a club switching to SCDSL? Sounded like former above and I do see Ole still listed on the CSL site.

Not sure on Eagles. That goes into the whole CSL vs SCDSL thing that has probably consumed countless threads on this forum before. CSL was only game in town for a while. Latter formed a few years back when some clubs formed it - looking to take the promotion/relegation out so teams focused on development vs. winning at all costs. I have heard varying points of view on whether that was truly realized. I think Real SoCal was a major architect from what I heard. I think every club constantly evaluates its leagues. I am sure the Eagles parent(s) on here probably have more perspective.

It's just the G2009 team that's going to RSC. The head coach for the 09 Ole team is making the switch and he took the whole team with him.

Not really. That is just a CDA league. Most teams are smart enough to stay out of these club leagues. I pity that Strikers team and their naïve coach. By June, he will be wondering what happened to his team. What happened was he joined the Slammers league which gives them 2 months to work on poaching his players. Ha, poor bastard..
