CRL Play In Tournament - 06s (2018-2019) - Tech Specs.

14 teams. Still going to be 2 groups of 7 for group play with four teams advancing from each group to quarters, semis and final?
Acceptance e-mails indicated they were planning on 16, but with 14 they could still pull of a "Premier League" format where everyone plays each other once, but signs seem to point to them going towards a group / elimination format which would be new.

With the group elimination format that seems they could possibly cut down on the number of games.

I liked the league format where everyone played everyone once. There are 11 play dates though, so you can either play groups and eliminate a day or if it’s a league format you’d need to add 2 days or double up on games on a couple of days.

I prefer they play everyone as well, CRL price remains high and one of the attractions was playing everyone and their being a league winner based on playing all the teams.

CRL play dates are in 2 weeks. Has anyone heard where games maybe located? I'm assuming Silverlakes like last year.

I'll be creating a new thread for the CRL League, but with the schedules now posted we can also see the group format come into play for CRL.

  3. LA Galaxy San Diego - Pre-Academy
  4. Beach FC Long Beach - Pre Academy

Looking forward to it. I’m in Mexico on vacation and need some light reading.

2-0 RSC, @Willy 's DD with the great 1 vs 1 on the right wing, cross into the box, great first save by #GiantKeeper, RSC with a nice rebound shot in from the backside.
3-0 RSC shot hit the post, bounced in off of #GiantKeeper after she dove, and ball went into the goal.

Game is all RSC, IE Surf only opportunities have been a few counters. Good skill and movement from RSC.

Some tough kids out there playing in this heat. In Albion and Galaxy game kids played really hard and spread out game.

Galaxy had a front line that made it really difficult on Albion backline. Albion did a great job early controlling pace and keeping possession but Galaxy stepped up their pressure and one some battles in the scoring zone. Some really good soccer by both teams
