Protective face masks

Any refs or players had issues with protective face masks after nose or face injuries? A number of top players have worn them so presumably ok with FIFA but concerned about local refs.

Also looks like FIFA does not have an issue with opaque black vs, clear.
 
Doubt they’re harder than the forehead bone, which could give someone a good bruise of used unsafely. That’s the key consideration for refs, is it safe?
