Man City Cup, I have some listing of the boys DA teams in the different age groups. The schedules come out next week. For now:
USSDA 2003/U14 teams:
Arsenal DA 03
Tijuana Xolos U14
Crossfire Premier DA 03
Golden State DA 03
LA Galaxy DA 03
LA United Futbol DA 03
San Diego Surf DA 03
SJ EarthQuakes DA 03
Cerritos is going to have the numbers, close to ~60 teams in this age group

The TJ Xolos would be the favorite in the Man City Cup if they bring their 1st team academy. After that who knows? Have'nt seen many of these play besides glimpses at the showcases and what not but the TJ Xolos are very good

Cerritos Memorial Challenge Cup 2017 Boys Acceptance List

Has the completion level at Cerritos been effected by the Man City Cup for many age groups? Tijuana Xolos is sending their 2nd team to Cerritos, does seem like there are not nearly as many top out of area teams as in previous years.
Legends is the week before but the other two seem to be cutting into who attends this one nowadays.

Legends are known for the good girl teams and npw need more reveue to expand the boys side.
What better way to do this by going to the the small team clubs and take the whole team. (What a deal they must of offered)

What is the benefits on playing and making the semi 's either in Cerritos Memorial or Man City Cup.

- Quality of teams
- Quality of venues
- Quantity of teams
- Location of venues
- Tourney College Scouts (at this age..lol)
- Bragging rights
- Direct entry to Surf Cup
- The water bottles taste better
- Something I did not think about

TJ Xolos would be the favorite overall, depending on how they are bracketed.
FOR USSDA this comp is a four game format, all teams get four games, no more or less. The last game is determined by points per bracket: 1stvs1st, 2v2, etc. Every team gets a final game but of course always nice to play in the 1stv1st game
Regular bracket teams are also guaranteed 4 games but teams advancing to the semifinals and finals will play a total of six (6) games.

Experience and what you make of that.
For non USSDA teams the potential 6 games over the 3 days is brutal I tell you, really need good conditioning, a strong bench and some luck. I recall a few yrs back when my son played the 6 games over the 3 days and he basically needed to take a week off after to recover, players in the semi and finals where exhausted in the heat. Too much and some injuries can happen.
At this age the one game a day format or two in consecutive days with a rest day before the 3rd and 4th like Man City USSDA does is the way to go but that would result in fewer teams, games and money $ so tournaments cram in as many teams & games as possible to maximize profit & amt of teams.
