If you like throwing money away, keep playing. My dd had her best year her last year. But after numerous injuries she decided it was more important to be a teen before she goes to college.
She does have a job, but it’s fast food. I would have preferred her to quit two years earlier but she wanted to play with friends.
Over time, those friends dropped out also. Our situation sounds a lot like yours.
Coaching meh, no college opportunity (at a school she’d prefer to attend)
I’m relieved she’s done. Spent too many years having only an identity of a soccer player. Now she’s a 17 yr old girl with diversified interests.
She even quit hs for senior year. Tired of that garbage too, especially with DA taking almost all of the best players.
