OC Surf, Slammers, and Real SoCal DA teams I believe, Sharks and Blues ECNL.Are any of these teams going to be DA in the fall?
Or are these the 2nd teams from the clubs that have DA?
Is the Oc Surf roster really that small?
How long has KW been with DMCV? I remember her from Strikers OC.
How can Real play EGSL with no ECNL affiliation?OC Surf, Slammers, and Real SoCal DA teams I believe, Sharks and Blues ECNL.
KW’s second year at Sharks.
Its open to anyone know, they need teams to have a Spring LeagueHow can Real play EGSL with no ECNL affiliation?
Wherry's DMCV Sharks are ECNL. Slammers look to finish Spring undefeated, can Blues spoil the party?Slammers looking strong.
Also, RSC Pre-DA and DMCV Sharks Wherry looking good. Are they ECNL?
Blues won't likely spoil the party BUT RSC is likely the honest top runner in this group. Slammers dodged a bullet in the initial meet up against RSC. I hear 4-5 of their top players were absent due to the ODP conflicts in this age group.Wherry's DMCV Sharks are ECNL. Slammers look to finish Spring undefeated, can Blues spoil the party?
Woot woot! Not too shabby. What was the final score in the Slammers v. OC Surf game?Wow! Not to take anything away from others, but pretty good for 06 to be leading 05 Elites.
2 to 0Woot woot! Not too shabby. What was the final score in the Slammers v. OC Surf game?
Looks like Sharks beat RSC, but none of the other scores are posted.2 to 0
Surf brought the 06 national cup champs to play for them yesterdays match. Was good for both teamsWhat's up with the SD Surf team being dragged up and down the pitch? Why bother?
Real played very nice possession soccer and dominated the first 20 mins before Sharks got into the game. Real had a great shot from 20 out hit off the crossbar in the first half and more than 5 corners but couldn’t capitalize. Sharks had a few corners to end the half with a header cleared off the line by a defender. Second half was even back and forth with Sharks scoring 10 mins into the half off a cross into the box. Held on for the remainder of the half for a 1-0 win. Real had another shot from 22 out that hit off the underneath of the crossbar going into the wind. That shot goes in 9 times out of ten.Looks like Sharks beat RSC, but none of the other scores are posted.

Surf would be better off getting rid of those lower teams and getting back to where they started. It's weird though that clubs like Galaxy SD can figure out how to run 5-6 teams per age group and Surf can't handle 3.Surf's 05 C team is not the same team that it was last year. Surf leadership (DOC/Board), in their infinite wisdom, assigned yet another new coach to the team (one coach per year for the past 3 or 4 years) about a week before tryouts essentially guaranteeing that the team would implode. It's a shame because there was some decent talent on that team and they had a great coach. If Surf would keep a coach (if he/she is decent) with their lower teams for at least two or three years then they would stand a chance of retaining decent talent (players that aren't destined to be great but can still play and enjoy playing good, competitive soccer). But they don't, and so every year they have to reinvent the wheel. This year, for Surf 05, the wheel finally fell off.
But they need the revenue to funnel to their DA teams and scholarship players.Surf would be better off getting rid of those lower teams and getting back to where they started. It's weird though that clubs like Galaxy SD can figure out how to run 5-6 teams per age group and Surf can't handle 3.
