    Thank you for this post. It was a fun read. My disappointment with the study are as follows: (1) small sample size of non-referees (12); and still pictures were used and not video. I would be curious to see if the difference in calls (3) would be the same using trained referees watching video. Interesting, nonetheless.

    Interesting. I hope someone does a similar study but with a larger test group and video. Remember, one study is interesting, two studies are really interesting, and three or more studies that show the same results actually have true meaning and validate a hypothesis.
