National Cup - 05s - Tech Specs

tech any upset specials?
Tough to say, at this point they're all pretty even.

I do think the National Cup winner comes from the bracket housing Beach vs. Galaxy SD & Blues vs. Blues.

RSC over Eagles would be the biggest upset in this round. I'll go out on a limb and call that one, RSC has a solid team and a forward capable of causing an upset.

Quarter-Finals
Beach - LB vs. Galaxy - SD
Blues - Draluck vs. Blues - Kale
Eagles vs. Real So Cal
Legends vs. Strikers OC

For Beach/LAGSD, I just think Beach's midfield is too fast, skilled and tough to overcome. I say Beach wins easily, but gives up a late one. Final 3-1.

For Legends/Strikers, Legends will need to keep the score down to have a chance. I say Legends' goalie keeps it close with Strikers up 1-0 for most of the game. Final is 3-0 after Legends puts everyone forward to get the equalizer and they get burned by Strikers' speed a couple times.

I've never seen Eagles or Kale play, so I can't really opine about those games. But I do have a question: Is Kale technically the B team at Blues? Or have Kale and Draluck just always been sister teams wherein Draluck achieved more success at younger ages?

From what I've heard a few times is that Draluck and Kale are both considered A teams by the club and that they do not move players from one team to the other and they build upon what they have as separate entities. But this is hearsay, so it may not be completely accurate.
From experience playing both teams and looking at score lines, they are pretty even and I could see their match up on Saturday going either way. I'm sure it will be a very close and competitive match.

Nope. Not a parent on either team. Just a valid observation. Surprised the Eagles coach didn't have a stroke or heart attack with how much he was screaming at his players.

And if you're an Eagles parent, you are in serious denial about your coach's behavior.

Was at Galway today. While RSC's coach takes over excitable joysticking to an elite level, all you need is earmuffs and he seems alright. But, as mentioned in the above post, Eagles new coach SM is a lunatic. If anyone violently grabbed my kid like he did a player on his team in the 2nd half there'd be hell to pay. Sorry if that offends Eagles parents, I like your team a lot...but I never saw TK act like that.

Please Elaborate... what happened that led to Eagles coach bad behavior

Semi-Finals
Real So Cal vs Strikers OC
Beach FC - LB vs. Blues - Draluck

4 teams remain, 3 favorites and 1 dark horse.

RSC playing with house money and the way they've been playing, Strikers has their work cut out for them. In the other side of the bracket, many are saying the title is on the line as Beach and Blues line up in a battle of powerhouse squads.

Best of luck to everyone tomorrow as the final will be set...

I did not see the coach handle any players. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, I just didn't see it. I know at the older ages SM is a coach parents will seek to have their kid play for. I've seen him coach olders and barely speak at all.

To be honest, neither coach's behavior even raised an eyebrow from me at the game. I've seen way way worse.

I will say the I think the parent behavior during this tournament has been excellent. Kudos to us parents!
