Hats off to Southwest SC, especially since I believe they have more than one 06 playing on that team. I didn't get to watch a lot of the teams playing this weekend but I thought SW looked solid. (And, no, my daughter does not play for them.)
All 10 teams that finished 1 & 2 in their brackets should be congratulated.
Bracket A - SoCal Academy Hazell & IE Surf Premier
Bracket B - Pateadores Summer Tournament LA & Legends South
Bracket C - Beach DPL & Rebels Elite
Bracket D - Arsenal ECNL & Southwest
Bracket E - SanDiego SC Academy Navy & SD Real Madrid
Out of the 30 teams at the play in, SoCalAcademy, Beach, and Arsenal were the only teams that went 3-0 in their brackets.
IE Surf lead the teams in goals for with a whopping 15 goals followed by SoCal Academy at 11 and Beach at 10.
Congratulations again to all teams that made it. This should be a pretty good CRL season.
Side question, is the Pateadores “Summer Tournament LA” team like an all star team out of different Pats teams?? Never seen a team name like that before. Just wondering....
This year we, IE Surf 06s, had to expedite registration for CRL Play In and Cal South made it "interesting" by having teams apply as part of the "Summer Tournament" season. A few club registrars were pulling their hairs out. I imagine that probably had something to do with getting the teams ready for their application submittal and the name Pats was listed under.I think that was a mistake by whoever submitted their application. Their name from last year was "Pateadores - LA G2005"

From 20 to 30 is good math in my book.Correction - There were 20 teams, not 30. My mistake..... Forgot to carry the 1. Thank goodness I don't do taxes for a living......

Do not know if CDA Slammers Segovia is entered somehow but that is a formidable squad. If I recall he only lost 1-3 players to DA and has retained most of his team.So now that the DA teams are out of flight 1 Soccer are these 10 the top teams? What other teams will be added to CRL? Who is missing from this list?
DA teams will not.CRL just posted the teams accepted for upcoming season...can someone explain to me how soon-to-be DA teams are going to be playing in CRL?

DA teams will not.
Those are not the DA teams. This came up in a G06 thread as well about two weeks ago. I responded but someone else provided a better answer. Per another poster, "There won't be any DA teams. For the 05 age, those "Pre-Academy" teams that qualified by CRL or National cup will be replaced with their second teams(DPL)." For example my daughter played on that LAGSB G05 PA team. That team no longer exists. They are now the DA team. The Gold team will inherit that spot. The Gold team is now the DPL team. Hope this clarifies.Aren't these teams going to be DA or ECNL in the 2018-19 season?
Girls 2005/13U LAGSB 2005 Pre Academy CRL
Girls 2005/13U Legends FC G05 Pre-Academy CRL
Girls 2005/13U LAGSD G05 Pre Academy-Bouchereau National Cup
Girls 2005/13U Arsenal FC G05 ECNL CRL Play-In

No worries. I see your point. Makes sense. But I think it does offer those teams a chance to play good games outside of their league or if some of them are teams they see often. Thanks for the info - I didn't know whether to mark your post Informative or Funny - because that's hilarious! The old Bait and Switch! Bust your butt to get accepted into CRL to play the best of the best...or not! LOL

The 75% retention rule is certainly not in play for this age group.I readily admit that I am a clueless parent. However, I am not a clueless adult. If it is true that second (or third teams) inherent playing rights in CRL for 2005 girls teams, then CRL is no longer a meritorious league.

You are a fine parent and person. Please know I wish you and your family well. Peace. The 75% retention rule is certainly not in play for this age group.
Agreed!Props for the 5 syllable word (I'll admit, I had to look it up), clearly you're not a clueless adult. (although I think you meant "inherit" not "inherent"?)
