that guy is just a waste of human life. a ton of safety procedures were not in place in that sport. like having a female coach with players during visits - and not letting a dude take a kid to his/her hotel room

So what are the safety measures in place in our sport? What does your club do to help protect the players? Will there soon be residential DA programs for girls as there are on the boys side- separating kids from their parents? As far as I’m concerned, my spouse and I are my player’s safety net. I’ve posted this article here on to remind us all to stay alert, stay involved, and remember that where there are kids, there will unfortunately be predators.

That’s a good point Josep. You cant always be there, especially if they get a bit older. That’s the “stay involved” part of my post. Pre-teens and young adults are often trying to push us away and it can take effort and persistence at times to stay involved in their lives
