That is great news!
Regardless of what comes of this whole soccer "experiment" and journey my DD is on, the one thing I will cherish forever is that look on her face, that look that exists within the moments in between the madness of it all. The trips for ice cream, the downtime between games, the laughs, the face painting, the water balloon fights, the coaches with the crazy green hair and the green SOLO cups...
It's been a quite a ride and if friendships, memories, and life lessons is all my daughter takes from this game, it'll be worth every penny.
@Soccer18 you and your DD epitomize what my family loves about this community. Looking out for one another and banding together when you need it the most. I was so thrilled to see your DD out there at FWR, making the trip with her team and having something to come back to. We're all excited to have her back, doing what she loves and having you and your famly loving what she does!

Thank you all for your support and well wishes. It's a journey. Ours had a bump in the road, and now having overcome said obstacle, we can move on. Excited for what lies ahead.

Sitting in PT waiting for my son to finish his session. Out of the 7 or so season he's played 5 of those he's been out at least part of season with injury. Nothing major but he's had to rehab 2-3 months each time with both knees, patella, heals, Hamstring. Has always come back stronger and learned a bunch on how to take care, stretch, and do things to prevent re-occurrence, I jokingly tell him he should apply for a therpist job since he knows the routines so we'll.
My daughter (knock on wood) has somehow managed to play more seasons and has yet to miss due to injury.
The one thing my son has always tried to do is still study the game, support his mates, attend some training session (even if he's just watching or very limited) and have a plan with coaches to bring him along slowly when he was cleared for certain things. He's develop in that way as a more Tactical player that helps out being a leader, or giving tips or pointer's to other players. Likes to manage so who knows where that might him later in life.

My DD has been cleared to play since June 8th, and I understand your fear. Her return to play was like a fairy tale. I described it in another thread.

I was also scared to watch her complete the battery of tests in PT before she was cleared. I almost lost my sh!t when her ortho had her do standing broad jumps on her effected leg. My DD is also aware of her injury in a large part because of the brace she has to wear for another month. She does favor her injured knee but she is gradually gaining confidence, but I still cringe when she goes after 50/50's.

Great to hear that your DD is back in action! Huge props to her for sticking with it. I hope she goes on to make big positive waves in this game (and her life).
Also want to thank you for how open you've been about the whole event and process from the day it happened. I hope none of us have to go through that, but her story (and yours) reminds us that we can all make through adversity like that!
