One minor correction - De Anza lost in the final to Hawaii at Surf. When we were at the medal ceremony, it was announced that both finalists would get invitations to the top group next year (2016). Of course, we all changed from 04/05 teams to CY teams. As I understand it, the older age group (04's) "inherited" the benefit of the automatic invitation.
