Spring Schedule

CaliR1

BRONZE
A little bit of a rant but it is super annoying that SoCal Soccer still has not put out schedules for the Spring season. I get there are a lot of teams but season starts next weekend and there is no information about when games are or where the teams are going.

We were told the start got pushed back a weekend so first weekend is 3/22 and goes until 5/18. Our team was planning to play in a tournament 5/18 so not sure what is going to happen with that. Socal website says schedules will be released 3/15.

It's kinda odd: I guess they didn't have enough 2011/2012 teams for LA County, so they joined these together for the spring league there. That's going to lead to some fairly lopsided matches, I'd assume, given that there appears to be also only one aggregate "flight" for that area (groupings are per geographic area, not skill level, as far as I can tell). Also, only 8 games for the season.

I assume that's the best they could do with the teams available, but it's going to be an interesting "season", I think.

Looks like Orange County is the only one that doesn't have teams transitioning up for the Spring. The other regions all say this:
Birth years transitioning to 9v9 from 7v7 will play 9v9 for spring
Birth years transitioning to 11v11 from 9v9 will play 11v11 for spring

But OC has 2015 teams still playing 7v7 and 2013 teams still playing 9v9.

ETA - nvm; the main page states that for LA, Inland Empire, and SD, but doesn't appear any of them are actually transitioning up.

I would assume all are transitioning up. That would be bizarre not to. For the girls 2013s I quickly glanced at in OC many of the fields say 11 v 11.
